Gokû's new boots look like they'd definitely keep feet warm, but the look a bit unwieldy in terms of flexibility. Cute shade of blue though.
I doubt the boots will do anything to his battle performance. Just looks new for the sake of new boots.

Oh! Found my Dr. Slump volume 16, read the Enma chapter. Now hoping Freeza gets to wear the olden type black and white striped prison uniform (with the hat) Arale and Senbei wear in that chapter. X3

I know that's crazy coming from a site that covers the original Japanese version of the franchise above all else (and what at times probably feels like at the expense of what you might happen to like), but I would hope you can understand the difference here.

I didn't even mean it that way, it was actually a legitimate question... We all know there are different types of fans with different viewpoints on anything, I was actually just asking him a question on what he meant with his statement.

That's in line with the manga yes, I just find puff balls floating around in a bare plain to be a crappy after life. People with bodies get to do a lot more. I'd think the reincarnation cycle would just place someone on a better path or worse path depending on their previous life. If they lived a good life they'd get a better one each cycle til one day they're worthy to keep their body.

That sounds terrible to me. You have to choose your own actions in life, and you are what you become. If all you had to do to guarantee eternal happiness was just go through reincarnation enough times that you were guaranteed a good life because reincarnation automatically gets you a better one, that's a terrible moral.

Doesn't sound worse to me than living in heaven as a puff ball cloud. That sounds like hell. Living for eternity as little puff sounds awful. Pretty sure the cycle has something to do with Buddhism. Basically a cycle til Nirvana is obtained. Nirvana in this case being a person who gets to keep their body I suppose.

You could have had a great life and been super close to nirvana, but with your new life you're suddenly a dick and get downgraded to an earthworm.

I wouldn't say so considering no one can prove they are aware of their past lives. If anything it's a full reboot. In fact in classes I was taught it's very possible to reach nirvana sooner depending on how you are. How attached you are to material things, etc. Again I don't see how that's so much worse then being an eternal cloud, floating around and unable to do anything for eternity. Even with a body DB Heaven sounds very boring.

Doesn't look like it's been posted yet. I don't think it has anything particularly interesting, Nozawa sure has aged well though. Seems as energetic as ever.

I sat there after that chapter and read the whole rest of the volume.

There's a chapter in this volume where Tori-bot travels 10 years into the future to 1994 (one chapter after Obotchaman did the same thing--Tori-bot's chapter starts with him being called out on this by his assistant after telling the assistant that he wants to do something big for chapter 200). After seeing what the Dr. Slump cast is doing, he meets himself at the end of the chapter:

and finds 1994!Tori-bot homeless and begging for money on the street. Tori-bot returns to 1984 and to drawing his manga so he can change his future.

Toriyama himself (and Torishima) are also characters in this manga; Torishima is wearing what looks like a babushka in this volume because so many people at the Jump Office were calling him Mashirito that Torishima got a new haircut and made Toriyama promise not to draw him with his new hairstyle.

Just looking back on 2013, February was an absolutely massive month for BOG, news-wise. Given the fact that this movie comes out a couple of weeks later, I'm not sure we can expect quite as much this time around, but I'm still predicting a fairly busy month.

The soundtrack listing was certainly a fun piece of news to speculate over in 2013. Is it weird to feel kind of nostalgic? I remember coming home from school each day, looking forward to seeing if there was more news.

I think it's definitely still too early. Give it another month.
