Based on Sabat's recent Crunchyroll interview, it sounds like we may be seeing Revival of F fairly soon. I wouldn't be surprised if Toei was going for a, for the most part, simultaneous worldwide release this time around.

That would be awesome if that were the case. Considering the success of BOG with it's limited screening, I don't know why 20th Century Fox wouldn't consider releasing the movie around the same time the Japanese get it.

That was for episode of bardock? I thought that interview was after battle of gods was released.

It would most likely be dubbed. Sabat hinted that they might already be working on it or starting in the near future.

It was. This was done in Saikyō Jump to promote the Episode of Bardock Super Kanzenban.
I should probably reword that in the future.

Here's hoping I'm wrong.

We'll see. He was talking about how awesome Chris Ayers was as Freeza and then said that they were working on something big that he couldn't talk about yet. Can't imagine what else it would be.

So they've added Uruguay now. Battle of Gods did pretty well in South/Central America but hardly saw a release in Europe so hopefully they can improve in that area this time around.

Even if Funi is allowed to simul release in theaters, if it's dub only, those who prefer subs will still have to wait for the home release anyway. T_T

Whether they're working on it or not depends entirely on how far along the Japanese version itself is. I doubt the Japanese version has been finished already, so more than likely it's just in the planning and negotiation stages. However, it's quite possible we may get it either at the same time or just a little bit later instead of having to wait a year and a half.

Let's hope they actually release just one version and not pull this "extended" thing again, though.

They wouldn't have to wait for the Japanese version to be complete before they could dub it if TOEI sends them material as it's being produced. They may also have a rough version of the movie fully animated with no special effects that FUNImation could use for dubbing.

Oh man I would LOVE if RoF was released worldwide right off the bat. Even better if it was the dub.

Chris Sabat: "As for American voice actors, I've worked as a voice director so I've had the opportunity to call in some truly talented performers. Some of the women I've worked with, like Colleen Clinkenbeard, Laura Bailey, Luci Christian, y'know, Chris Ayres came in recently to take over as Frieza (in Dragon Ball Z Kai) and that's just instantly become one of the most memorable roles I've witnessed. [HE DOES IT AGAIN and talks about something we can't cover quite yet! Sorry for all the censoring!] He's amazing!"

It's not guaranteed, but this is somewhat suspect.

I'd say it's likely, because it probably is not recordings for XV, since that is probably already done.

Nah. If it were Xenoverse he'd just be able to say it. This is something we're not allowed to know about yet.

If it comes out sooner then cool. I won't mind waiting a year like I did with BOG as long if Funimation takes their time on dubbing the film and does not rush it.

Well, even Battle of Gods was a somewhat rushed dub, and it's considered to be very good by most. So, I'm convinced that they can do great even under a frantic schedule.

Hopefully this means it's definitely Ayers voicing Freeza in the dub.
