I just bought seasons one through five of Dragon Ball on the "Blue Bricks" of course. I had been holding out for a Blu-Ray release but I finally just gave in.

Your original intended post, let alone this one, are simply unacceptable. We strive to have conversations, not abbreviated non-sense blurted out at random. It helps no one, in any way. Let's shape up, or I'll be shipping out some warnings.
Not trying to get you mad or anything but I don't see the difference between me saying "RB1" and me saying "I just bought Raging Blast 1".
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

Just got today my Dragon Ball Full Color 2nd volume. I'm loving this collection so much.
I hope Viz doesnt screw up and releases the other sagas too.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Yeah I really hope they release Freeza through Buu and maybe even DB too. I'm holding out on buying Vol 2 because I have OCD with my DB things, and really don't want an incomplete set, especially one as good as the Full Colors

Out of Curiosity...What made you think there was going to be a Blu-ray release of the Original Dragonball anytime soon? I'd rather have Dragonball Dragon-Boxes then a Funi Remaster of the original series. :P
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Make that too, but I kinda hate those alternate translation terms they used for it such as "Chi", yet in my mind I read it as Ki though, and "Lord of the Worlds" when they could just refer to him as Kaio-sama. Small nit-picks but it'll get worse when/if we get to the Majin Boo arcs that have Vegetto as "Vegerot".

Indeed, even though FUNimation's footage of Dragon Ball on the Saga Sets looks great (unzoomed + no DNR) it's lacking the proper order of OPs/EDs and the NEPs so I'd rather take Dragon Ball: Dragon Box over a FUNimation Dragon Ball Blu-ray release.

If FUNimation ever announces Dragon Ball: Dragon Box for pre-orders I think I'll keep the Saga Sets because they're a perfectly serviceable set (except for the three errors that are on them) and barely take up any space on the shelf.

I can live with Chi as it more or less is the same as Ki. Its the Buu saga where the translation REALLY annoys me.

I know they are being "sensitive" and "conscious" with names like Mr. Satan being changed to the H word but in the end, that sensitivity and consciousness is utterly irrelevant. I'm aware Toriyama doesn't care if his work is changed in other countries or Toei may have given them the go ahead for said changes but just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Viz really screwed up trying to market DBZ to the demographic they did. Its insanely annoying to me when their releases of Bleach, Naruto, and Rurouni Kenshin are untouched, where people get impaled, beheaded, and stabbed in gory splendor but Popo's lips and Satan's name is where they draw the line?

I agree. Quality wise. I really don't have an issue with them besides not having all the OPs/EDs. that kills me more than anything. lol

Naruto, Bleach and whatnot, don't have blackfaces or a hero named Satan that everybody on Earth cheers on. Violence in Dragon Ball is as untouched as it is on those other mangas. Also, how dare they market Dragon Ball to male kids, which is actually its intended demographic? The villains!

Not a 'purchase' since I didn't buy it, but I believe I saw someone else posting a similar gain here, so why not.

Just got this in from rs_chaosmaster via the 'Free to a Good Home' thread that was going for a little bit. Definitely a fun little read (especially for all the inaccuracies in character information, oh geez  ), and should prove helpful next time I try to start up Budokai 3 from the start again.

So just three more Dragon Ball games and I've got the complete batch of it for DS.

Although I don't have DB:O1 I'll just play this as it follow the later arcs of Dragon Ball (they split it to two games).

To what degree are these games censored compared to the manga/anime?

According to Dragon Ball Wiki they made changes to the game's version, so not exactly as per the manga/anime:
Instead of Goku simply cross-dressing, both him and Bulma go into the forest to find sap and make a mask of Pochawompa's face so Goku can be perfectly disguised as her. Instead of Oolong's shapeshifting running out of time and being rescued by Goku, Goku chases Oolong to his mansion while still in the form of a rocket, forcing Goku to go through Oolong's Mansion and find him. Instead of Bulma simply receiving the Dragon Ball from Grandma Paozu after capturing Oolong, the old lady's granddaughter loses it in the woods, causing Goku and Bulma to look through the forest for the ball.

Yamcha accidentally gets a hold of Goku's Four-Star Dragon Ball, making Goku and the others search for Yamcha and get it back. Instead of the gang staying in Oolong's House-Wagon, they stay at Yamucha's Hideout; as such, Bulma finds and puts on the playboy bunny outfit in Yamcha's hideout.

Goku tries to take the Fire Cave to get to the Gyumao's castle where he fights the Ox-King instead of fighting him at the ruins of Fire Mountain's village. Instead of Yamucha knocking Chi-Chi out after she kills the T-Rex, Goku witnesses Chi-Chi kill the T-Rex and has to fight her to calm her down. Instead of Bulma and Oolong going to find the Dragon Ball in the ruins of Fire Mountain, it is Goku and Bulma that search.

After Goku defeats the two Rabbit Mob members, they call more members to attack Goku and then call Monster Carrot after the reinforcements are defeated. Once Monster Carrot turns Bulma into a carrot with his Magic Touch, he runs off back to his hideout that Goku and Oolong have to find in the Mushroom Forest. Once there, Oolong disguises himself as a normal towns person wanting to join the Rabbit Mob so he can get Goku into the hideout.

Giran vs. Goku is the first match at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament instead of being the fourth.
Some screens of Bulma and Muten Roshi:

I'll be playing this on my 2DS because DS games on 2DS/3DS use the analogue stick so it's ideal rather than the D-PAD.

By the way, there seems to be a filter somewhere in the internet that makes DS games look a lot better than they originally do.

I guess that's another reason to support that variant of her name as the proper one..

I'm still sticking with Bulma though :P

Got it quite a while back... but my recent DB purchase is the Full Color: Saiyan Arc Vol. 2 by Viz.

And it is gorgeous. Hopefully we'll see more released in the coming months.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Today I've received Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 and yesterday Dragon Ball: Movie Box. Some photos and a comparison of Dragon Ball: Movie Box slim and fat (I sold the slim so I'll leave some pics here to show how it differs).

Dragon Ball: Movie Box
Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2
The fat box of Dragon Ball: Movie Box definitely looks a lot more appealing and nice for collectors, although casual customers will be just fine with the slim version or the Dragon Ball: 4-Movie Pack edition. I've included Curse of Blood Rubies (cover + disc) inside of Sleeping Princess of Devil's Castle as I swapped it for a 2-disc DVD case so the entire collection is in this box.

Nice!
I really want that with Whis and SSG Goku. Unfortunately prices are ridiculous on eBay.
Really like the Freeza and Buu too, looks awesome. Not a fan of Cells face though.
