I think cell is definitley in hell and I would love to see him, that would be fun. I really hadn't thought about that.
I could definately see cell getting tortured by these things or his own set, and watching freeza get wished back, and going "Man, I wish I had Friends", and angels going "we'll be your friends," and laughing.
Why wouldn't Cell have a soul? He's artificial, but he's not mechanical like 16 or anything. Both Goku and Kaio expected him to be there with them when he self-destructed and is used afterward as an example of who doesn't get to keep their body in the afterlife, not who doesn't get to go to the afterlife in the first place.

I swear Goku and Vegeta are just stealing from Gohan. Goku seems to be stealing the base form/look being more powerful than all his SSJ forms (Thus explaining Super Saiyan Gohan and Goku not using SSJ). Vegeta steals the rage boost gimmick. Seriously all they need is regeneration, candy beam, and immortality, then they'll have all the powers.

You know, for the frequency that quote gets pasted around, it reeks of willful ignorance of easy common sense explanations, for something that is only seen by a portion of the fanbase as even somewhat of a problem, in an attempt to sound "clever". God forbid a Dragon Ball character develops the capability to do something he was once unable to do.

It's not an incredible amount, mind you. I just feel it gets tossed around more frequently than it needs to be. Which also isn't much, considering it was just someone restating the "plothole" for the umpteenth time in a thread where several incredibly simple solutions were already presented. Came off as willfully ignorant of the context of the conversation in an attempt to sound witty and snarky.

Ah. None of the "solutions" did it for me, at least the In universe ones. IMO it feels like their handing over these "traits" to characters that they consider relevant. I merely jest about getting candy beam and regeneration. Though no need to continue this here, a thread could be made somewhere else if people want to bring it back up.
I would love that...but honestly I don't think hell is gonna have anything worse then Enma Daio since he's head honcho.
