This is basically how I feel about the negativity toward Super. It's always "Too much focus on Saiyans", "Not enough focus on Earthlings", "Lack of tension", "Genki-Dama Sword?!?", and "Let me figure out this whole stupid confusing timeline mess even though I absolutely hate this kind of thing." The community around Super has really been ticking me off lately. Like how a thread about the show being awful gained 7-8 pages in, like, 3-4 days.

And don't even get me started on Gohan. (Not you, kinisking, you're cool.)

But seriously, though, how come? Why can't people have preferences other than your own?
People can have their preferences, they just don't have to be condescending.

Why didn't you say that then? Because your original comment just sounds like you're mad that people don't have the same thoughts as you.

They sure are. Every time he appears in an episode of Super, even for less than 30 seconds (see #67), people will start reminiscing over his latest appearances, try to discuss why he's so weak in comparison to Gokū and Vegeta, and repeatedly complain about how the show supposedly humiliates him constantly, which I don't even understand.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Lol I remember people was overreacting that scene saying none sense like makegohangreat# or Gohan is not a nerd anymore even though he returns with the glasses in the next episode
and people saying that was the best scene even though the Vegeta and trunks goodbye was way better

That was a great scene, but the way its emotional impact was overlooked in discussion for a sea of "Does this mean Gohan is training again?? HE HAS HIS BANG!" was insufferable.

Both scenes were phenomenal! I think Gohan's was better though because it hit me in the feels really hard. Seeing Trunks cry about not being able to protect his world and remembering his past only to become confident once more was really moving in my opinion. Although I LOVED the Vegeta scene!

Gohan's a nerd, but since when do glasses mean someone's a nerd?

People claiming there's a canon. No one involved even wants a canon. So why are people so stuck on there being one? Is it just "I don't like this, so it's not canon!" ? Is it elitism? You don't see people saying ONLY the Star Wars films Lucas made (1-6) are canon and nothing else, so why is this a thing?

Lol, the youtube community in a nutshell  I remember shaking my head at people complaining how he was wearing his green outfit with glasses which they called his "nerd" outfit in the next episode preview for episode 68. Like he was suddenly going to stop being a scholar out of nowhere haha.

It gets much worse than that I assure you. There's people who don't consider anything after Empire canon because I guess the Ewoks are too much for them to handle in Jedi? Regardless, do not underestimate the lunacy of man when it comes to canon debates anywhere.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

The fact that Canada will never get Super on TV and egregious mispronunciations in the dub.

Since Clone wars and the novelizations did the whole prequel shit better I like to personally consider those the canon versions of the story. Since Clone Wars IS canon that's at least a bit accurate too. As for extended universe stuff I operate with, "It's canon until something proves it not to be." since most important elements of the EU are becoming canon anyway. (Though I miss Mara Jade and Kylo's real name shoulda been JACEN damn it. That's basically who he is after all).

But yeah, Dragon Ball Super's canon is fucked anyway. It's pretty futile to try to make any sense of it at least. I mean there's a manga, an anime, and two movies that tell the exact same story and it's really damn confusing to decide which parts are actually canon, so you might as well not bother.

Since Kai "Kay-o-Ken" is gone. It's probably the same tired complaint of Say-in VS Sigh-yan.

On that note, people harping on the smallest little thing to complain about in the modern dubs despite their fantastic quality
