Not much of a revival considering what I've read so far. Hell, a formulaic shits and giggles, followed by a looming threat concluded by a fantastic insane final battle with Goku being the hero would have sufficed. Hey, atleast the animation will be pretty?

Its new Dragon Ball animation!!, i mean the show finished like 20 years ago and we get a new story.
I don't see why complain really, its better than nothing at all.
Dragon Ball its not only fights and "save the Earth from the big, bad villain", its humor too.
Table and his mini-wife, absurd villains, Goku annoying Vegeta, we even get a good fight with Goten and Trunks, whats not to like?

I'm just thankful, and hopefully i can see this special somewhere in the future.

Me too, I'm also still very excited. I would have prefered that Goku and Vegeta had a bigger role but I don't really mind that they let the kids to most of the fighting. I wonder if they'll look somewhat different? Considering Trunks is 10 now and Goten 9. I doubt it though.

Bleh, I wanna see it now!!

Eh, the last time they attempted DB humor and absurd villains we got GT. I'm not against funny DB, but I am wary.

Well, if i remember correctly, this special is based on a story of Toriyama, so if its his gags and his kind of humor then it doesn't have to be bad.
Besides, its only a fun special, not 20 episodes of pure torture

So its Goten and Trunks, and not say...Goku and Vegeta, i would have like to see them fight too, but we got the kids instead, and they are not that bad, and like i said before its better than nothing, i mean we gotta be happy about this

I'm honestly VERY surprised at the number of people who want "More Goku and Vegeta, more action".

Haven't we had enough Goku and Vegeta fighting?

At least when Gotenks fights, he does so with fun and interesting attacks.

Hell, this is actually getting pretty high up there in my mind as something that I'm looking forward to seeing. I could only be more excited if, I suppose, the special itself centered solely on Gohan's Great Saiyaman persona. =p

Maybe Goku, but I would've liked to see more involvement by Vegeta if/since Table is supposed to be his brother.

Okay, so even after reading all the posts, I still have no idea what this thing's about. All I can gather is:

- Goten and Trunks are the main fighters.
- Gotenks appears.
- Table really is Vegeta's brother.
- The special's humorous in nature.
- The enemies aren't that much of a threat.
- Nearly every character appears sans Tenshinhan, Lunch, and maybe Chaozu.

While I wish Goten and Trunks weren't the stars, I find it really easy to overlook. I just want to spend more time with the characters that I love. That's what this is about. And for anybody wanting a serious special with drama and fighting, c'mon now. The second we found out it was a concept from Toriyama, we knew this thing wouldn't be serious.

Plus, even if the two annoying, overpowered scene stealers have the spotlight, at least we get an appearance from nearly every character. And seriously, that's something no DBZ movie ever tried. I still have no doubts that this'll be enjoyable.
