Beerus vs Goku? That was quick. Hopefully it's better than BoG.

The story boards are from the next episode, but the other images don't seem to be. Beerus Vs. Goku on Kaio's planet isn't even till Episode 5, so I don't see the actual god show down till at least a few episodes later.

But, wherever it takes place, it seems to be the same as Battle of Gods. The strike to Goku's back is the exact same, lightning and all.

It says the reason Vegeta and family are going to this amusement park is because of that time when Vegeta and Trunks were training together, and Vegeta promised to take Trunks to an amusement park if he managed to hit his face. Was that confirmed already? I know I didn't make that connection at all until now.

I love continuity nods from the manga like that. It just make Super feel so much more like a natural extension of Toriyama's original work rather than a tacked on spin-off.

I don't think those scenes are from the fight on King Kai's planet, but from their second fight. The image where Beerus elbows Goku in the back is just like the scene in BoGs where he elbowed Goku in the back when they took their fight to space. And the pic where Beerus punches Goku in the face is eerily similar to the one where Beerus elbows Goku in the face during their fight in the cave after Goku's SSJG form wore off.

I meant when they went into space. Goku struck at Beerus, missed, and Beerus struck his back, causing lightning to appear. It was the exact same position as that, and the sparks were the same too.

So straight up this show is a "what would have happened if Toriyama didn't get sick of writing and drawing that manga" deal. Like between the first episode of abrand new show having a previously on recap and now paying off random things in the previous story arc they may as well have just said that Dragon Ball Z is more or less picking up where it left off and not even gone the Dragon Ball Super route.

In the uncut dub, he's called Mr. Satan. Given they don't put DBZ or Kai on kid-friendly timeslots anymore, I think the only place we'll hear Hercule Poirot is in video games.

First, he was never called "Hercules". He was called Hercule.

Second, in Xenoverse, he's called Hercule in the dub. So it's possible he still could be called Hercule in Super, but not likely.
