Also, it's curious that he portrays himself as a long-haired man. I wonder why.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
I just wish they'd change the "Dragon Ball" portion of the logo too if they're gonna change the "Super" portion.Cipher wrote:If it is, I like it. I'm a little surprised, if that's the final logo, that they even elected to change it at all, since they kept the kanji for Kai, but it's clean and I've always found the Super logo incredibly lazy.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Oh god I hope that is not the U.S logo for the series...
Also, if it is changed, I'd bet it's Toei wanting something different for the international market as opposed to any local license-holder.

Wouldn't be too surprised if that were to happen. BTW, I was mainly talking about when Black goes into detail about how he murdered Goku, Chi-Chi, and Goten in cold blood. I meant that I sort of hope that Toyotaro goes into a little more depth about Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and everyone else that Goku knows hears about some random Supreme Kai murdering him out of nowhere.Steven Bloodriver wrote:...I would have instead wanted for Goku Black to be the one with the detailed death in the manga.dragonballhero wrote:Honestly, I can't imagine Black would leave everyone Goku cares about alive. He'd probably kill them all off as a big middle finger to Goku from beyond the grave, and to ensure no one can use the DBs to bring Goku and his family back to life.Lord Beerus wrote: I hope Toyataro goes into more depth about what happened to everyone else. But I have a horrible feeling the deaths may happen off-screen, just like what happened with Future Bulma in the manga. I mean, that wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, but just adding in those darker moments make the story all the more better.
Personally, I would LOVE to see Toyotaro go into detail about Black killing EVERYONE Goku knows and cares about, but I feel like if he DOES take the opportunity to show Black killing everyone Goku knows and cares for, it'll probably be panel by panel. Like this: Gohan, Videl, and Pan in one panel, Krillin, 18, and Marron in another panel, etc.
Do we have any clue how old he is? I want to say in his early 30's?Herms wrote:Further evidence (as if we needed any) that Toyotaro=Toyble, since Toyble was also left-handed. The same time we get the leaks every other month, a little before the 21st. Nothing has changed.SquadronGOD wrote:When should we be seeing the new chapter of the manga?
We still have Vegeta's nonsensical rage boost and the Super Saiyan God thing making no sense.ekrolo2 wrote:Not many, the Dabura situation is probably the most iffy so far but unless you try to shoehorn in movie and/or anime facts into it, it's surprisingly solid.Noah wrote:I'm trying too remember, but do we have battle power inconsistencies in the manga too?
No number was allocated to Vegetas boost so it could be 1% of Beerus, up from 0.1% for all we know. Also not sure how the SSG thing doesn't make sense. You're going to need to give more details on that.Doctor. wrote:We still have Vegeta's nonsensical rage boost and the Super Saiyan God thing making no sense.ekrolo2 wrote:Not many, the Dabura situation is probably the most iffy so far but unless you try to shoehorn in movie and/or anime facts into it, it's surprisingly solid.Noah wrote:I'm trying too remember, but do we have battle power inconsistencies in the manga too?
Nevermind, I forgot Goku didn't absorb the SSG power in the manga.TheMikado wrote:No number was allocated to Vegetas boost so it could be 1% of Beerus, up from 0.1% for all we know. dbs fanboy wrote:This might sound off topic but does anybody knows when is Toyotaro's manga going to be released?. I mean in other countries.
I imagine he's going to streamline the whole thing to two trips at most. One to have Goku & Vegeta lose the another where they come back fully prepared to fight Black & Zamasu. What I'm interested in is how much time can he devote to each event, cause I really don't want this to feel even more of an abridged version of the anime than it already is.FortuneSSJ wrote:I'm curious to see how Toyotaro will do what's happening right now in the anime, because I doubt the manga will have so many time travels back and forth.
I'm also wondering how he'll portray the origins of Black. Will he go with the same "broken/unstable time loop" thing that Toei seems to be pushing, will it be a stable time loop, or will it be something different altogether?FortuneSSJ wrote:I'm curious to see how Toyotaro will do what's happening right now in the anime, because I doubt the manga will have so many time travels back and forth.
