His hair is funny for some reason. I liked it.

Also, it's curious that he portrays himself as a long-haired man. I wonder why.

Maybe he used to have long hair?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

If it is, I like it. I'm a little surprised, if that's the final logo, that they even elected to change it at all, since they kept the kanji for Kai, but it's clean and I've always found the Super logo incredibly lazy.

Also, if it is changed, I'd bet it's Toei wanting something different for the international market as opposed to any local license-holder.
I just wish they'd change the "Dragon Ball" portion of the logo too if they're gonna change the "Super" portion.

I mean, that wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, but just adding in those darker moments make the story all the more better.
Honestly, I can't imagine Black would leave everyone Goku cares about alive. He'd probably kill them all off as a big middle finger to Goku from beyond the grave, and to ensure no one can use the DBs to bring Goku and his family back to life.

Personally, I would LOVE to see Toyotaro go into detail about Black killing EVERYONE Goku knows and cares about, but I feel like if he DOES take the opportunity to show Black killing everyone Goku knows and cares for, it'll probably be panel by panel. Like this: Gohan, Videl, and Pan in one panel, Krillin, 18, and Marron in another panel, etc.
...I would have instead wanted for Goku Black to be the one with the detailed death in the manga.
Wouldn't be too surprised if that were to happen. BTW, I was mainly talking about when Black goes into detail about how he murdered Goku, Chi-Chi, and Goten in cold blood. I meant that I sort of hope that Toyotaro goes into a little more depth about Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and everyone else that Goku knows hears about some random Supreme Kai murdering him out of nowhere.

Further evidence (as if we needed any) that Toyotaro=Toyble, since Toyble was also left-handed. There was an AF blog post where Toyble talked about how some readers had guessed he was left-handed based on the direction he drew cross-hatching, or some such thing.
Do we have any clue how old he is? I want to say in his early 30's?

It's just so sad how Supers anime fails to live up to the manga version.

Kinda reminded me back to when Vegeta commented on Goku's SSJ2 being stronger than Gohans'

The same time we get the leaks every other month, a little before the 21st. Nothing has changed.

Not many, the Dabura situation is probably the most iffy so far but unless you try to shoehorn in movie and/or anime facts into it, it's surprisingly solid.
We still have Vegeta's nonsensical rage boost and the Super Saiyan God thing making no sense.

No number was allocated to Vegetas boost so it could be 1% of Beerus, up from 0.1% for all we know. Also not sure how the SSG thing doesn't make sense. You're going to need to give more details on that.

Nevermind, I forgot Goku didn't absorb the SSG power in the manga.

If you're fluent in English, Viz is currently releasing free chapters online. I think there's a new one every two weeks.

I'm curious to see how Toyotaro will do what's happening right now in the anime, because I doubt the manga will have so many time travels back and forth.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I imagine he's going to streamline the whole thing to two trips at most. One to have Goku & Vegeta lose the another where they come back fully prepared to fight Black & Zamasu. What I'm interested in is how much time can he devote to each event, cause I really don't want this to feel even more of an abridged version of the anime than it already is.

I'm also wondering how he'll portray the origins of Black. Will he go with the same "broken/unstable time loop" thing that Toei seems to be pushing, will it be a stable time loop, or will it be something different altogether?
