Freeza looks VERY Young here, is this Teen Freeza? He's still having King Cold around him too, It makes me wonder if the Ginyu force was formed by King Cold to protect his younger son. Bardock's Last stand was absent but we can't be too sure, I'm perfectly fine with retcons if that's whats necessary to develop the story further. I'm entirely interested in a spin off the Saiyan's from that time now and what it was like! Much more modern looking that the brown wore out rags the Saiyan's wore in those filler episodes. We could be looking at a multi-part sequel-ed movie here. This also makes me think Broly won't die.

Yeah vegeta was always older than Goku too. The Ginyu force dont seem to age.

And in episode of Bardock Freeza looks the exact same.

I hope they don't retcon Vegeta's age. Even in Minus he was clearly older than Goku. Goku was sent away in his incubator thingy while Vegeta was on the battlefield with Raditz and looked about his age.

Question because I cannot recall correctly. "Infant" Goku being found by Gohan is retconned now is it not? Or was that scene technically never shown in the actual manga? Been a long time since I re-read Dragon Ball so I can't really tell. I do remember that scene in the anime however. Someone help

I guess they are expanding/changing Minus. I don't mind that at all, there's a lot of good ideas there that needed to be developed.

Broly backstory already confirmed to be better than movie 8.

Broly not going to be a Legendary Super Saiyajin destroys really everything special about his form when it comes to "so this is why he has that and why he is so great". They practically erase Broly if he really is not even mentioned to be something like that. I do not want him to be like Full Power Roshi or Bojack.

I'm probably one of the few not complaining about it too.

Anyway, light retcons of characters' ages aside (being dead and the Room of Spirit and Time screws around with it anyway), I keep getting more and more enticed by this movie. Cheelai (being little more than a petty thief stuck in a less than desirable situation) and Lemo (a good guy that joined because he thought the Force was something it wasn't) being not evil members of the Freeza Force, and probably Broly's anchor to the real world/sanity gives his character actual depth.

No, Dragon Ball Minus didn't do anything. Otherwise you'd have to say that Freeza destroying planet Vegeta was also retconned and that never happened just because it doesn't appear in Dragon Ball Minus too.

Goku's the one who's older so if anything it's his age being retconed. Is it just me or was Vegeta in his 2nd grade Ssj form ? he looked bigger and his hair was noticeably spikier.

No, Vegeta has always been older than Goku. Whether it be in the episode of bardock or otherwise, Vegeta has always been older.

I think the extra muscle/spikiness is just an art choice by Takahashi rather than him using Grade 2.

I'm not saying Goku's older than Vegeta, just that they may have aged Goku up (based on how he looked in the original anime and now in minus) to where he's 2-3 years younger than Vegeta instead of 5-6.

I have no problem at all with Toriyama retconning Minus. He can retcon it as much as he likes with this one!

The New always overrides the Old. And Minus was just a short manga chapter. This is going to be a full blown movie that will reach millions of people and is an official continuation of the ToP written 100% by the legendary man himself!

Just ignore Minus and see this as an entirely new product!
