In the trailer we see Beerus in his pajamas so based on what was said in BOG it's probably 3 years after.

My guess two years later after BOG. Freeza gets wish back a year after BOG then returns to Earth a year later.

I would like to see a character call Toriyama out on it if he does though (the way Kuririn calls him out in the manga for reusing panels). :3

No,it's because he didn't have trainers training him all his life and he didn't spend 7 years in the afterlife training under no limits.

Goku got ahead of Vegeta from training with Gohan in the ROSAT. They were neck and beck before that.

3 years seems a good estimate based on the Beerus clock. Leaving us with 4 years till the Eoz, right? Just enough space for a third film, making a neat trilogy.

Year 4 : Battle of gods
Year 7 : Revival of F
Year 10 : Final Tenkaichi

It leaves us with 2 (or more if Toriyama decides he doesn't want the manga's ending to part of the story anymore) and hopefully what we get is bigger and more unpredictable then the first 2 movies.

He said the reason the new movie(s) take place before the ending is because the characters are to old at the end but with how things are going it looks like it doesn't bother him anymore so there's a high chance we'll get a 4th movie after the 10th year especially after telling us about the 12 universes which I doubt he would have if he didn't have something planned.

I would love that! I thought that was awesome anytime the characters broke the fourth wall. Wasn't Pilaf the first to do it?

I guess it's more to do with that he drew all of the main cast looking really, really old in the final chapters, possibly due to wanting to end the Manga with definitive finality at the time. He probably regrets that a little bit now, and probably wanted any continuation of the story to commence from the end point where the actual story ended main plot-wise with Buu's defeat, as opposed to how he tied things up for good.

Pilaf was the first in Dragon Ball to do it, I think. (There's a scene where Gokû knocks Yamcha through a panel, but in terms of verbally breaking the fourth wall, Pilaf's first.)

Verbally breaking the 4th wall happened all the time in Dr. Slump; so it wouldn't be unusual for Toriyama.

It's possible that Toriyama will make more movies after Uub. Toei just have to give him a good pay check . Besides most fans wanted to see him to make a proper sequel to DBZ after GT sucking so bad.

This. So fucking much. Uub has been screwed so much in the hands of Toei, that I believe Toriyama need to make spin-off film or series of OVA's where he is the main character, just so that the whole "Goku's chosen successor" deal feels at least somewhat justified.
