Since they mix the old movie villains into the main story. What if they decided to mix GT villains into Super's story. Like Zamasu using the Shadow Dragons to help him to destroy all mortals.

Is anyone else surprised that there has been no mention at all of eventually adding the other movie villains? I know including content from Super is mandatory, but they might as well at the rest of the movie villains. I guess Bojack and Android 13 are just really unpopular. But not including Hirudegarn in a game that sports raid against giant bosses is a little odd.

More like they are lazy and just want to stick to doing Super stuff because it is the mandatory thing like you said, the fact that they announced 4 DLC Packs and we already know that two of them have just two new characters each should tell you how they operate by now, not to mentiong you have to pay for them, apart form the rest of the movie villians i can't grasp that they still haven't put Baby Vegeta on the game like they had Super 17 and Omega Shenron in the first game and we even got Great Ape Baby as a boss on the first DLC of that game, now in the sequel he is nowhere to be seen but somehow we do have his outfit for CAC and also Uub's by the way even though neither appears in the game.

If they can break away from doing the same story all over again and REALLY step up their game on how the roster works, Xenoverse 3 could be as renowned as Budokai 3 was in comparison to it's predecessors. That's just wishful thinking, though.

I am excited for raids, though I've unfortunately been away for the first few. Anyone on Steam interested in tackling Beerus with me this weekend?

I also understand they need to make Super content but the fact that this game premise was the inclusion of the movie villians, they should gone all out and put all of them, but you know the worst thing imo was the story which was so lackluster, it was almost exactly the same thing we did in the first game only with the movie villians appearing somewhere in between which only Turles and Slug getting some kind of relevance because when Janemba and Broly appeared it look like i was playing a Paralel Quest and the worst of all apart from Mira's Fused form we didn't get anything new regarding the main villians, it was just Towa and Mira doing the same shtick from the first game all over again, at this point i don't know if i should be hyped for Xenoverse 3, they better get their act together.

I agree with you entirely on how there should have been more movie villains. Even as little as two more would've helped the plot feel a little more justified in touting these big names coming from alternate timelines to stop our heroes. As it is, the first chunk of the story just feels like the Tullece and Slug show, with Coola showing up just to be an asshole (which... is totally fine). We already had Broly and Janemba in the first game because they're Broly and Janemba. I'm hoping we not only get more movie villains by Xenoverse 3, but their crews as well. Some crews we can do without (Tullece's Crusher Corp is underwhelming at best), but Bojack's space pirates are rad and Garlic Jr's spice rack would be welcome with their nifty body-sprouting swords. Hell, we have a few giants here too - Dr. Uiro, Baby Janemba and Hildegarn could be great new bosses.

As far as the story goes... I can forgive them for repeating the same beats, as it's clear they had to decide where to spend development time. Do you go for writing, scripting and producing an entirely new story or do you focus on expanding, reworking and tweaking all of the existing content? I personally, prefer the latter for an immediate sequel. XV2 is shamefully, exactly what I asked for. I wanted the same game, but with more. Careful what you wish for, I guess.

XV3 will not be defended on those same merits, however. If you want to take one full game to refine your gameplay, that's understandable. It's follow up should give us a reason to keep playing.

.....I wouldn't count on that, like if it was for me i'm all for more playable characters but just think about how Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had the largest roster of playable characters of any Dragon Ball game ever and even with that they didn't bother to put more than one henchmen from two different villians and that was it, but if you think about it, it kinda makes sense like all of the henchmen appeared only at their respective movies and since those are about an hour long, most of them didn't get to show their movesets enough in order to carry those to a game and in some cases like in the Slug movie he murdered one of his own henchmen at the very beggining of the movie and we didn't even got to see him fight, or in Turles movie his crew was like you said underwhelming because they pretty much fought the same like those Frieza soldier characters.

Now i don't know if you have heard of it but there is this guy who is doing a project for Raging Blast 3 and is trying to get the people responsible for the current Dragon Ball games to create it, and of all the concepts he has for it you can see his character roster which is HUGE more so than Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and i'm pretty sure includes all of the movie henchmen, they are currently trying to get enough fan support to get it made, i know at the end it probably won't end up being more than just a fan-made project but if there ever was a chance for all those characters to make it to one of the games from the main series is this.

I usually use the Final Bout or DBZ Legends BGM while playing. Those two games have some of the best soundtracks in DBZ video games imo.

Wait, do you actually ride inside the pod? I could have sworn an earlier screenshot showed our characters riding on top of it, making it all the weirder/more hilarious. Am I remembering wrong, or was it changed?

Either way, hope it controls a little more smoothly than the other ones. Can't say I'll use it much anyway compared to flying around either way, but still, improvement is improvement.
