Lol, the youtube community in a nutshell  I remember shaking my head at people complaining how he was wearing his green outfit with glasses which they called his "nerd" outfit in the next episode preview for episode 68. Like he was suddenly going to stop being a scholar out of nowhere haha.
YouTube commenters irk the shit out of me. The big DBtubers are cool, but many of the people that flood the comments section of their videos just aggravate me. Some YouTubers, like Forneverworld, have a particularly toxic fanbase. I know I should really just avoid reading the comments, but sometimes I just can't help myself. It's like some weird form of masochism, and I always end up regretting it afterwards.

The "big DBTubers" (and let's keep it that ambiguous), from what I've seen, actually bother me too. I don't think I've ever encountered material you wouldn't pick up just popping into Kanzenshuu for a minute. Perhaps they're better than nothing for younger audiences or people who wouldn't seek information on the series out elsewhere. But they are 100-percent responsible for stuff like "gohan has bang = train again?" and "this character blue when?". My comment was actually aimed more at the channels than their commentariat.

Ajay's slickly produced animation guide notwithstanding.

Yeah besides Gaffer, Ajay, ekorlo2 and the occasional Geekdom and Hail Zeon videos, most DB youtubers annoy the fuck out of me.

Well, for starters, "Gohawn," "Yawmcha," and "Tien Shinhawn" are mispronunciations because they are very clearly pronounced differently in the sub. Also, "Say-an" is a mispronunciation.

Kanzenshuu is far more suitable for picking up information with no included bullshit about how great of a channel they have inserted in every single video..

Yeah, I pretty much view the Youtube guys as training wheels. Not that they're bad people or anything, they seem pretty cool from what I've seen, but those videos they spend so much time on are only worth as much as a few posts on this forum.

Fornever world makes toxic videos so of course he'll have a toxic fan base, I agree about live stream commenters. They purposely shit post while you tubers seem ignorant. I hate most you tubers too. See reax and expergamez are the only ones I like.

Can we please avoid directly naming people as bags of shit?

There are certainly valid points being brought up, but if you're not willing to do so in a constructive way, we're not particularly willing to hear your thoughts.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but I didn't directly name anyone as bad :eh: , rather generalized it to db YouTubers besides a handful

Eh, to-may-to, to-mah-to.

Unless the pronunciation substantially changes the entire meaning of the (original Japanese) word, the complaint is pedantically meaningless.
DRAGON BALL IS THE KING OF (Fighting) ANIME!!!!!!! In my opinion, at least...

My reaction to anything about Dragon Ball post-2013 that I don't like and/or is stupid. :P

Let's not forget Gaffer Tape. His videos aren't my cup of tea, mostly because the observations he make are the exact same ones I do. However, I do enjoy when he points out some detail that I've never noticed before, and his breakdown of the manga is rarely, if ever misguided.

Well, FUNimation's pronunciations sound exactly like that to me. I've grown up pronouncing "Aunt" as "Ant" and not "Awnt," for example, and I get that the "aw" pronunciation is an American thing but the fact that nobody complains about or even notices these obvious mispronunciations is somewhat perplexing to me because people will complain about "kay-o-ken" and some mispronunciations but leave out the most obvious ones. And the fact that nobody has any intention of properly pronouncing "Gohan" grinds my gears especially when everyone says Kai is great because everything is pronounced properly, when a good deal of things clearly aren't.

Again I've never heard "Gohawn" except a few times from Chi-Chi. I say "ant" instead of "aunt" too So I dot know where that complaint is coming from
