Yeah, can somebody e-slap Salagir for straying away from the Saiyan naming convention for no discernible reason?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

As in Dandelion and Burdock.
Dandelions aren't vegetables either.

Burdock isn't either, but that's already canon, and it would work so well.

Cana after Canna or Masha after Mashua. Either way they could have come up with a vegetable pun. Oh well.

Seriously!Everyone here can come up with a vegetable name pun in probably less than five minutes! Here: Feltoka
Now that wasnt very hard. And that one took me 30 seconds, I´could come up with a better one if I had spend a little more time on it. I dont get it, why break the tradition?

The top part of her hair, especially those bangs, remind me a little of Gohan durin the Cell Saga. Her overall desing isn't bad. Though I'd change that skirt thing.

It's her eyes that feel off. Toriyama, especially later in the series, has a clear and established set on eye - types he distributes among his characters.
It's not bad looking, (trying to be original isn't bad) it's just feels weird when everything else is trying to be Toriyama-ish. At most, they look a little like Lunch's eyes.

But I like that she isn't overly cute. Toriyama always makes his females look too cute.

Her eyes remind me of Sasuke's. Which is ... really quite creepy.
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

Is this a universe where Goku is Broly? Huh... I know there was already a scouter reading of Goku but it could've been a mistake. Here's hoping it's at least that interesting instead of another waste.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Uh...she was clearly reading a kid other than Goku.

It is possible not all saiyans or other fighters of the planet trade took scouter data at face value or were even skeptical about "power levels" being a good measurement of a person's or creature's abilities.
But Vegeta's the prince of the Saiyans, has trained his tail (as has Nappa, an elite Saiyan) and probably much more battle-intuitive than the majority of the Saiyans. I don't see low-class Saiyans as being that insightful.

Er...
Salagir wrote:Yes, you've heard it, Kakarotto and Raditz survival (and Vegeta and Nappa) are all planed by the tyrant, and not a lucky coincidence.
Note that in DB, it's officially told that it was the case for Vegeta.
For the two brothers, it's DBM canon, and totally invented by us.

Of course, Freeza will have totally forgotten about the 4th Saiyan 20 years later. Raditz didn't become elite, so they didn't care much about them.

You now know the mother's name of the two brothers. It's also invented by us. Both their parents are "elite" (mean more than 10,000 in power), that's why everyone is so disappointed in their sons (or a reason to laugh at, for the other children).
By the way, in Saiyan society, you're not born elite, you are it due to your power. That's why Baddack was born low class, and is now elite.

That's bullshits, Bardock was always a low-class. He may be at elite level, but he was always considered a low-class. And about the thing he said "Saiyans are not born elite". Why Vegeta ALWAYS refered Goku as low-class, even when he thought that Goku was Super Saiyan he was calling him low-class. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Salagir hasn't watched the Japanese version, look what is he saying here:
First, when was the class thing introduced in dragon ball? In Baddack movie, and only there. Vegeta doesn't talk about classes to Goku, he only says that Goku is a weakling and weakling were sent to low level planets. And that he, Vegeta was the elite of the elite.
In the movie, it's said that Baddack unit is "low class". And that Baddack is 10,000 because of his constant fighting, and that it's huge.
Also, in Freeza'a army, the basic guys are easily killed by Nameks at 3,000.
People who are "insanely strong" in Freeza army are about ~20,000: Vegeta, Kiwi, Zarbon, Dodoria.
Elite isn't only 4 people (9 with Ginyu squad) in the universe, it's more. So I think that anyone at about 10,000 or more should be considered elite. It seems logical to me also that Baddack was once a low class, a weakling, and now is strong and considered elite.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
