SSJ4 Gogeta's Big Bang Kamehameha did force Omega Shenron to revert back into Syn Shenron, even to the point of almost killing the last of the Shadow Dragons through the clearly debilitating injuries Syn Shenron sustained alone, but it was unfortunately all for naught as SSJ4 Gogeta had defused and Syn became Omega Shenron again.

GT Gogeta was a bigger dropkick than Gotenks, can't give him the points for that fight. Sure, he didn't kill Broly either but at least he decisively "won".

Time will tell if Hearts joins Janemba and Broly in the back of the hearse, or if he just has to pick up Shenron's cleaning bill.

This. Gogeta was like few seconds from killing Syn Shenron for good. He would beat him if he didn't assume fusion would last 30 minutes. He still kicked his ass. Vegito didn't beat anyone. He defused against Zamasu just like Gogeta against Syn, but the difference is Gogeta wasn't struggling nor using a percentage of his real power. Vegito was actually having a bit trouble with Zamasu.
