Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
Having never played the game before I would like to know if Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden has any new tidbits that differ from canon? Like a fight between two characters that have never met in the movies, specials, manga, or series? Or a character transforming earlier than he, she, it, or they were suppose to?

My guess the missing one is Monaka or one of the U6 fighters.

Can be Demigra as well, either him or Monaka.
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
I think the most concerning thing right now is the fact that we are not getting the updates.

No kidding right? The JPN version has more assist characters, online mode, etc
It's pretty frustrating. Esp with the lack of online, or training mode for the US version.

Did the first game well in the US? Maybe that's why we have not been getting the updates for the US version.

I'm glad they finally put Baby into the game. I felt he was a weird exclusion.
Suke-san's icon makes me chuckle. Almost like putting that Bandai-Namco name to good use http://exbd.bngames.net/character/assist3.html

This game is pretty much dead outside of Japan.
A real shame.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
The game got mixed reviews. It's fun, but could have been much better in my opinion. I find the story mode to be weak and the game needed more. I don't want 200 something characters, but I feel like we could have the roster to be a bit bigger and maybe give us some more gameplay modes too.Zombie wrote:This game is pretty much dead outside of Japan.

Not getting the patches is what's kept me from buying the game so far. I wanted that tractor-riding!Gokû and dancing!Vegeta so much. They were both in the first patch.

I agree with these points. When playing the game it feels an awful lot like some of the older Street Fighter games. Did DBZ just pull a Street Fighter on us?? Or how about Marvel vs. Capcom even...Doctor. wrote:I know it isn't really relevant, but damn that animation is really bad and the official artwork is really unimpressive, too (who's doing the artwork for the games, anyway? I don't like their style at all). I liked this shot, though:
Still disappointed with the roster.Spoiler:

Yet the US still has none of the patches. I just want the online patch so I can actually play this with people.

I just found out today that Japan also has SSJ4 Broly and SSJ4 Gohan as assists...
I love this game even as it is, but these extra support characters Japan is getting are starting to sound really awesome.

In a way, Extreme Butouden is kinda like DBH, except instead of collecting cards, you're collecting assist characters. (which, including the upcoming DBS DLC, will be up to 116 assists)

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
I'm a bit puzzled here, can someone tell me how I could get Super Butoden 2 bonus game with Extreme Butoden? I bought the game factory sealed at launch and it didn't come with the code to redeem SB2.

Where are you from? In America, it was an Amazon-exclusive pre-order bonus.Iberian_Saiyan wrote:I'm a bit puzzled here, can someone tell me how I could get Super Butoden 2 bonus game with Extreme Butoden? I bought the game factory sealed at launch and it didn't come with the code to redeem SB2.

Europe. Bandai Namco advertised everyone would get it according to their trailer and here's a screenshot of that evidence:

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
Your post said you bought it sealed at launch. Was that the result of a pre-order?
