God Gohan, God Trunks, God Goten (God Gotenks) seems like cheating and what happened to ssj all over again.
That's why the Mystic concept for Gohan was a good idea.
-About Freeza-
If he keeps evil until the end, I don't mind him joining the team. Turning Freeza in another Goku's "best friend" would be the worst thing they could do to this character.
A temporary alliance for a greater cause can be interesting, but that's it.

You really think they will toss aside Gotenks over Mr. Boo and Piccolo?
I seriously doubt that too, especially Buu. i mean, how much more marketable Gotenks is, compared to him?
I don't think much people honestly want to see Buu fighting in this. It feels like he's not seen as a "serious" fighter anymore, and let's be honest, his character is very limited.
Gotenks might be more marketable but I'd say Boo is a more interesting fighter. None of them are really serious fighters, to be honest.
Boo might surprise with God ki and/or different forms (they could also acknowledge Toriyama's version of Boo's origin by having the Universe 6 version of "natural Majin" fight him and show off new things a Boo can do) but Gotenks is more of the same.

I'd rather they keep Freeza completely dead then bring him back for the Tournament, just so there'd be no possible chance of Freeza turning good. That would really piss me off
Also even though i'd rather see Gotenks, Buu could be interesting as he could possibly absorb his foe
Just caught up on the new info so I guess I'll break down my impressions.
-Vados and Champa are relatives to Beerus and Whis? Kinda lame. Though I'm confused as are they actual siblings or siblings in the sense of twin universe? I'm a bit lost.
-The food showdown. Yep can't stop with the food gags. I really hope they don't beat these like a dead horse.
-Super Saiyan Blue. Still a lame name, but I'll take pretty much anything over Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Anything is better than that.
-Vados trained Whis. I like that and it sounds interesting. I really want to see their interaction and to see if it breaks Whis' composure.
-The heavy space suits I'd rather not even be described as what they weigh. It'll be screwed up and make no sense so it's better to say nothing at all.
The tournament is definitely the biggest thing mentioned. It's a chance to maybe pair Goku & Vegeta up with super strong fighters of U7 that Beerus may only know of. I recall Goku was the second strongest person Beerus fought....but that makes no sense as he really should be 3rd in light of Champa. Unless those 2 never fought. Or it could be a chance to allow the other fighters a chance to maybe get stronger and fight. The team would probably be Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Gotenks (I'm sure they'll cheat him in), and Piccolo or Boo. If there's training time before the tournament starts, then they gotta power up the others. A super easy convient power up for the other saiyans and maybe that namek book can do something for Piccolo I dunno. Though it's more likely that Goku & Vegeta are the only people any good on the team, and everyone else remains at their lower levels and is beaten soundly. Then we get the drama of can Goku and Vegeta win when they're the only one's left on their team.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
Man I feel really hype up now. I can't wait to see what the U6 fighters will look like. I hope Toriyama give us something cool and neat looking.

I thought that the human race just killed themselves with nukes and other powerful weapons of their own.

Herms wrote:Sorry, I screwed up: 大将 means a "general" or "boss" (which is why I was thinking team captain), but it seems it also means the last person to compete in the final match of a team competition (as in kendo or judo). So literally they'll keep fighting one-on-one until the last person on a team has been defeated. Sorry for any confusion. Fixing now.
(I mean, I assume teams typically save the best for last, which is why the final competitor is called the "general" in the first place, but it seems the title is reserved for whoever is last, so by definition there's no possibility of the "general" being defeated without all his teammates being defeated first.)
Oh, thanks for clearing that up! I also thought it might be a fancy way to refer to the last fighter but wasn't sure.
Vados said that there was an idiotic war on our Earth in the past and it seems the human race was wiped out. So my guess that Earth in U6 went through a nuclear war with each other and killed themselves out. We don't even know if Goku went to Earth in U6 since he could have been sent to Namek for all we know. I hope we don't get a Evil Goku or something similar to Regime Superman in U6.
pacz360 wrote:Freeza isn't coming back idk people are saying this considering he blew up the earth last time so i see no reason he'll be on the team plus he's dead.
None of that matters, if they want Freeza to join them. They can revive him and Beerus can keep him under control, since he seems to be afraid of him.
Golden Freeza is powerful, that's that's matters in this fight. Its a wildcard, but that's what they have.
They wouldn't/shouldn't become best friends.

Of course Satan will win the tournament. Idk if U6 Satan or U7, but one of them for sure.
Why I have a feeling Satan will be dragged to this?!

I'm so hyped for this new arc! It's looking really good from what I've seen so far. I'm just wondering how the rest of the gang are going to be useful. Its great that Toriyama has wrote them back into it, but I don't want SSJG becoming too common. The tournament is very likely going to consist of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo and probably Gotenks, so hopefully they will all just train and improve on what they are currently.
Last but not least they've finally renamed SSJGSSJ! SSJB is going to be a god send.

We don't know whether U6 is parallel to U7 or not in terms of people, the information we have so far seems to suggest not. And at anyrate the Earth in U6 has no humanity left out so even if it there was a U6 Satan he wouldn't exist anyway.

Well the Namek Book of Legends already been done in Dragon Ball New Age which allow Piccolo to catch up to SSj4 level of power. My guess a similar thing could happen in Super.
