Complete BT3 Info and Discussion Thread [UPDATED 10/02/07]
Yeah various moves will vaporize the opponent. It's been known for a while, what we don't know is which ones or if there's specific conditions.Adey wrote:Is it just me or in video 4 does Piccolo disappear (as in die) after Goku's Kamehameha at the end?
Or did he just fall over a ridge and he's out of our view...
The mods on the Atari boards are talking like it is. You have to buy a magazine to get the demo so... yeah it's still kinda like stealing if you don't do that.Demi wrote:Seeing as the demo disk they got is more then likely free, hopefuly someone will upload the ISO somewhere so we can try it. Pretty sure that wouldn't be illegal.

Well at least they did some vaporizing in this game. I wonder that you can chosoe multiple of the same character now, that and have World Tournament Stage in the 5 vs 5 (cheating for the win!), that the only tweaks I like to see.
I feel sorry for Future Gohan.
Everyone's like, "What?! What are you doing with two arms?! You tear that off right now, mister!"
Poor guy.
Lol'ed.

I don't like how King Vegeta uses a false moon for his transformation even when the real full moon was right behind him.
0:19- 0:23
EDIT: I expected the Oozaru transformation to be a little more dramatic, rather than just, 'Poof'- and the Oozaru appears.

I just realised they changed the Ki meter to the same one they used in Budokai 3. Also with this sonic sway feature it's like they've fused parts of the budokai and tenkaichi series' together to make this game really good.
Funny thing is though, on gamespot Tenkaichi 1 scored higher then Tenkaicgi 2.... are they on crack? Tenkaichi 1 was awful and 2 was awesome.

Obviously they are and obviously they don't give the games enough play time to notice how much it's been improved.Demi wrote:Funny thing is though, on gamespot Tenkaichi 1 scored higher then Tenkaicgi 2.... are they on crack? Tenkaichi 1 was awful and 2 was awesome.

Playing ping-pong with Piccolo ...
I also noticed that Future 'Han's throw attack uses two hands, so possibly no Oned-armed alternate costume.
The game looks awesome and at this point I only have one major complaint:
I'm not playing this game right NOW!!!
Like the man above asked: “What magazine has the demo?” And where can I find it?

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

The transformations lower his chances, if anything. Remember that in Sparking! every transformation basically is its own character, with its own movelist, basic combo sequence and heavy attacks. Including Rildo with his three forms would need almost as much effort as including three separate characters without transformations. Is Rilldo in this game? Seriously, he actually has transformations, so if they're trying to scoop up every last fighter in the DragonBall universe for this final PS2 game it'd be stupid to ignore him when you consider all the non-transformation characters (Kid ChiChi, etc.) that they're sticking in here.
Did they ever plan some "coop" thing till now?
I mean, when BT2 announced a 2 on 2, I was hoping for a possibility to go two humans vs. 2 bots.
Now that internet is involved (for Wii), it would be cool to have something like that (or even having some team-attacks, but that would be too far from reality I think).
Another thing I am thinking about right now is, if they now have it possible to use a character more than once in free battle.
I always thought it was kind of bizarre that you could use Mecha Cooler 5 times, but not Tien or Piccolo (to simulate this technique when they split up their body into four).
In Team VS. it worked to use a character twice, so why not in Free mode...
Does anyone know something about that?

Cell has the same exact animations in every form, most of them recycled from Goku.Neon Z wrote:The transformations lower his chances, if anything. Has anyone seen any hints at Kid Gohan having his Garlic Saga attire? I really liked it the best. He doesn't have that gay headband, and his hair is still long...
And does he go Oozaru yet? They always use Kid Goku's.
And does Teen Gohan or Goku have that RoSaT Saiyan Armor? That'd be hysterically awesome.
If there's any proof behind those, I'd love to see 'em.

They said that at the start, when they were talking about '150 characters, not counting forms'. Then when they said 160+ they started counting forms again. And 161 is the offical number right now. They wouldn't have given an exact number if they weren't intending it to be the final count. Don't forget, this game is finished and being printed right now. It's over. I highly doubt that the character count is any higher than 161.gohanku wrote:But this time, didn't they say that the new characters are counted as one each and their transformation weren't counted? And 161 us not the official number yet...
