this may sound like a stupid question, but the in-between frames today are made in the same way it was done in the 80s and 90s ? or is this CGI ?

They're still hand-drawn, yup!

Interpolated frames look really bizarre and bad - nobody really uses them.

Bit of a shame. I enjoyed guessing based on those tiny images!
Lame, I guess they caught wind of the images leaking.
Or maybe the production is even worse than before and don't have anything to put up... :P

I'm confused, didn't we already get a preview image though ?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Could it possibly be this shot, from the beam struggle?

In other news, the booru just got flooded with dragonball content. Out of the five posts that got accepted, I'm not completely certain about who did these two scenes and added the presumed tag to them. Could anyone confirm if this is really Masaaki Iwane? I believe it to be him, but I'm not completely certain.

They don't look alike to me. Both of these have different styles from one another.

The shot from 66 is Yuichi Karasawa and the one of 82 is Itai.

^It would be cool if the new shot had been done by Karasawa too. It would mean he didn't leave us. :(
But if Karasawa is indeed working on elDLIVE by some reason and that flop is about to end, I hope he comes back.

Like some people pointed out before, Manabe also left for some time but he came back.
Even though I'm not a fan of the few talented supervisors we have, leave for some time to go working on other shows...
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Tommorow's episode will be debut of Nii Hirotaka from studio Mark as a supervisor. He has worked in Super as a KA in #21,#27,#56, #65,#71 & #74. Really looking forward to see his style. Hopefully it's good.

Ajay, remember when you said this should be the average for Super ?

I think we've finally reached that. What do you think ?

I do!

Yeah, I'd say we're there.

We get less than that sometimes, but I did say that was to be the average, so I can't complain.

I'm only glad the animation isn't so stiff like it used to be, we don't see moments like Gohan and Krillin catching Goku anymore, that scene looked like they were catching a robot instead of a person.

Really? Thats a strange average to aim for considering that there were scenes in #33 that I felt were done better than the one you mentioned.

This is the kind of scene I would like to be the average for Super all the time(even though I didn't think it was anything special).
