What are you talking about? I could go back and give Citizen Kane the score from The Dark Knight. Sure, it'd be more dramatic, but it doesn't mean that it was there originally, nor would it improve upon it.

Is it just me or does Nail sound completely different from his last appearance?

I'm sorry, but what? From what I can remember, the sound effects sounded slapstick, cartoony and off. They were anything but dramatic, in my opinion.

With the Ocean intro of the Ginyu Force, perhaps guys who are praising are just Beast Wars fans. (Reacoom, Jeice and Ginyu were Megatron, Rattrap and Rhinox).

I so friggin called Elliot as Ginyu. I am so proud of myself XD

But I'm liking the recasts so far. Tomorrow will tell for sure. I just can't believe Sabat is still Reacoom. That was the one voice that even as a Dub fan I felt needed to go. Even over Aussie Jheese

That...well...ruled. They did an amazing job.

I'll wait until I hear the voices in the next episode before giving an opinion, I can't really tell anything just by them saying their names.

What the fuck? I hope to god this ends up like the Freeza's voice and gets better over time.

...Then what the hell was the point of Sabat giving up the role? Now we have a voice just as bad except unfamiliar to the fans.

This is more retarded then Dub Reacoom.

I'm very happy with those voices.

Sabat had Recoome at 11, he scaled him back to about a 2 or a 3 so I can handle that.

Then why didn't they just let Mr. Sabat keep the role? Still, I'm reserving judgement until I hear more from the characters.

LOVE the dubbed version of the insert song. It totally has the comic, silly, corny, yes-we're-campy-but-we-don't-care feel to it that defines the Ginyu Force. GINYU FORCE RULES!

Can't judge the voices just yet because they haven't said full dialogue yet (the incident with Freeza's new voice taught me that). I will say, though, that they definitely sound silly (in a good way). I've seen this scene several times before, but this was the first time that I actually laughed--reasonably hard, too--when we get to that awkward moment when Freeza just stares at them blankly in confused silence. That silence needed to be justified by over-the-top silliness that comes before it, and it totally was.

Also, on a side note...I can't tell for sure, but it seems like Sabat may have dropped the......................."special".................touch on Reacome's voice, even though he's still voicing him. I like that change, actually, since the character is supposed to have a deep and tough voice, and that's the character type that Sabat seems to specialize in.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

It was likely his idea to give Jheese and Butta up.

Speaking of which: Why Sabat, WHY?!!

I think DBZ Abridged should definitely do something like that now. :P

Hmm hard to judge the voices based on single lines, but the song...ehhh I wasn't really feeling it. Just seemed really lame (yes, I understand that is what the Ginyu Force is all about.) So I guess it got the point across.
Trans rights, now!

Seriously... Ugh... this is just more FUNimation pussyfooting. I guess it's good to be able to say Sabat has fewer roles, but that's about it, other than the scripts not being filled with "pain on the barbie!" which is a given... But why didn't he sound Australian when he said "I'm JEICE!!!"...? I truly hope it's not an "on/off" thing like with Ayres' Frieza.

The clip's not working by the way. Can someone upload it to YouTube?

It would seem one of Mr. Sabat's goals in life is to make sure Dragon Ball dubs cause you physical pain.

Don't think I've ever heard Jason Liebricht attempt an Australian accent. I liked his Brooklyn accent in Baccano.

Well Jheese barely said anything in that clip so can't really say if I like it. It is certainly different...

Reacoom sounds better but not great.

Ginyu sounds okay but I'm not so sure about it yet.

Not enough Gurdo or Butta to say.

So far though they sound quite possibly more ridiculous than the Ocean Group and the previous FUNimation casts. But like with Freeza I imagine they'll get better in future episodes and a few lines are hardly enough to tell how good the performances will be.

YES! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I freaking LOVED Aussie Jheese! :D

EDIT:

Anyone else thing Guldo sounds a little...girlish here?

Not that I'm complaining.
