The Gold Cloth Saints are some of the strongest characters in anime. Phoenix Ikki once had the power to destroy the universe two times over if I remember right.

No offense guys, since I know it's all pondering for the fun of it, but...it's a fighting game. It's gonna be possible to beat Madara, or anybody else, with the goofball cop from Kochikame. Power measuring clearly isn't a factor here. :P

We aren't talking about how things should be in-game of course, we are talking how things would have gone if the fights weren't in a game.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Fair enough, just thought I'd point that out though. :P And I for one am still getting enjoyment out of seeing the cop beat up people in the vids. I dunno why, but it's hilarious.

In that case, the cop from Kochikame still wins. You can't kill a gag manga character!

...Come to think of it, we have Freeza in this game now. HA.

We at least know that the cop can absolutely tank anything Freeza throws at him. :P

Definitely getting this game for PS3. Although I have no clue who the other characters are, it looks fun.

Seiya at this stage is stronger than SSJ Android saga Goku? I might have to start watching this series.
Well, the version of the Pegasus Bronze Cloth Seiya's wearing is from the Anime's first 74 episodes(the manga had 3 separate designs by that point, designs I preferred frankly), which lead him through the Sanctuary Arc, where
. He's also got the ability to use the Sagittarius Gold Cloth in game, which massively ups his defensive potential (they're survived since the Ages of Myth without being destroyed *well, to that point in the series...*) and gives him a new attack option with the ol' Bow and Arrow.

Hell, Seiya at his peak at the end of the manga
was released in Japan at about the same time Goku was fighting Final Form Freeza on Namek (the last volume of the series came out shortly before the volume of DB where Goku went SSJ for the first time).

As for Naruto, Naruto's pretty mid tier in the grand scheme of things series' wise, maybe edging on upper-mid tier/lower-high tier. Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (maybe not with the characters represented, but in the last 15-20 years, oh boy is this series insane with power), and Toriko have all shown insane stuff far beyond what Naruto has. If what I've heard of Medaka Box is true, it'd fit there as well. Bleach is a little more iffy, but I think I would put it up there, quite a few of the abilities we've seen in that series do rival the hax Kishimoto has been going for (and Ichigo himself showed some insane destructive power with Mugetsu, which he apparently gets as a move in game).

As for the Dragon Balls...reviving the dead is beyond Kami's power, yet the Dragon can do it. That's always been a plot hole that Toriyama never put much thought into it.

Toriko's grown insanely powerful,
It's hard to say exactly how strong he is now, since we just hit a year and a half time skip about 2 weeks ago, but before that, he was demonstrating some insane feats of strength.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Naruto characters are top-tier, I'm just pointing out that Madara can't be defeated by many characters because of his immortality, not of his power, even though he is very strong.

I doubt Toriko traveled non-stop from the Gourmet World to Human World, but I guess he should be strong enough to lift a mountain now. However, since we barely know anything about Toriko's current power, I thing we should talk about Toriko's feats before the time-skip, and I don't recall him lifting a mountain.

Am I going crazy or that isn't Ryo Horikawa as Vegeta?

EDIT: Never mind. I can sorta hear him. But I guess I'll have to wait till the game comes out to be sure. Good trailer though. Kenshiro and Raoh's gameplay looks pretty cool.

Well there you Kamiccolo, if you watch carefully at 0:42 you'll see that Shishio's Mugenjin has the serrated edge.

Ai o Toromodose!! (aka "You wa Shock") is indeed in the game as the theme song of Hokuto no Ken.

The game is turning out to be quite the epic experience and the gameplay shown on the trailer looks rather similar to ZBR, plus its running style seems familiar to ZBR/BOZ which is a good thing.

I'm hoping they'll have some synthesised Kikuchi songs in there for a compilation of the best scores from each of the series included.

Dammit, must they make me want this game even more!

(Totally not actually angry and is instead just hyped and sobbing in a corner over not having a PS3 yet or the cash to import this yet anyway)

Actually, wait a sec...I've been keeping a nice up-to-date list of the characters (both playable and support) confirmed so far for my own perusing, but...has anyone made a list of confirmed (either via a Jump scan, or just from the various trailers) arenas in the game? A list of that and what series they're from would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, and I noticed above it, Pegasus Fantasy is in the game for Saint Seiya.

Man, this game knows how to tempt me...just a few more characters, and I'll have to start selling blood for this game, lol.

I was just questioning the limits of his immortality.

Kami himself can't revive the dead. If he could, why would they need to use the Dragon Balls to bring back Goku? Can Kami restore people's youths? We certainly haven't seen that. The limits of the creator of the Dragon Balls makes no sense given we've never seen the creator of the Dragon Balls show the power to do the things the Dragon Balls can do.

Rereading the latest chapter, the Bowl of Food Toriko was carrying was at least as tall as a Skyscraper and was no effort for him to carry. In fact, with light taps, he was sending food raining across all of Human World (which is many times bigger than the normal Earth, even not including Gourmet World).

Just re-watched the trailer, and did anyone else notice the part with Ryo (the cop from Kochikame) firing a rocket at Freeza? That has to have been done with knowledge of that gag comic, since this trailer did seemed geared towards character interaction.

I'm really anxious to see how some of these people talk to each other. We got some idea with the DBZ X One Piece X Toriko crossover but i'm really curious as to how Ichigo and Kenshin talk to each other or maybe Vegeta commenting to Toguro that building up muscles never works.
