Strange to be decided for a episode that will air in two weeks?. I know these are printed in advance but still to be decided?

Hmm, maybe it's not Super then?

Going home for now (>_<)
So it's not necessarily that he has four to do for tomorrow, it's that he thinks he might get them done for tomorrow. For now, he's going home. He also complains that the work load is excessive.

I'm assuming it's Super if he's working so hard.

He tweeted a day later:
うーん…あと2カット(><)
Ungh... Two cuts to go (><)

It's more "information not available". It's not unusual for the magazines to be lacking info from more advanced episodes, happens to all shows.

How long does it take to do one cut roughly?

So he has two cuts left and then he's done? I guess since he's not in charge of this episode that makes more sense that it would be Super than him having to finish in one day.
How long is Toei going to keep this shit up? They really need to focus on fixing the schedule. What are the chances that they treat year 2 like a different show and do pre production on it along side the rest of year 1?

The avetage animator can do two cuts a day. Ootsuka can probably rush but doesn't for the sake of quality.

If Ken isn't rushing his cuts then we should be in for some good shit come episode 39. Hopefully this doesn't deter him from working on the series in the future, Super needs as many skilled people as possible.

How much did he do in that episode though? I feel like all he did was a few pieces of key art, mainly some of the really good looking Goku shots.

Otsuka ken did couple of cuts in episode 5, however from what we have heard it would seem some people only had 10 days to work that episode. I think it was otsuka complaining about it too.

Do we know what cuts he did? I'd like to retwatch them and try to imagine how they'd look if they had proper time to be finished.

What do you guys mean by cuts? As key shots by key animators? If so, 2 a day seems pretty low for 1 person.

A cut is a 'shot'. They use the English word 'cut' in the Japanese industry. Key animators handle every key drawing within a cut.

Cuts can contain number of frames, depends on the animator and the nature of the scene. Those drawings also include lines which direct where shading will occur.

Google translate doesn't seem to make it sound like he is saying anything about rushing, basically " One cut left, I'm going home today" or something like that. If he is rushing I'm not so sure it would be Dragon Ball Super since the episode he's working on is still like 11 days away.

Some series or productions are worked on until the very day before they air.
