This could be the DBS version of, "Yvan Eht Nioj." I won't be surprised if we see Kid Trunks in a boy band during some anime/manga filler.

It might be a reference to this chapter cover. It could be a stretch, but aircraft is involved.

So Goku getting sick in the Time Machine was also in the manga. People were complaining a lot about that.

It's all Toriyama's ideas. I really hope people will stop blaming it on Toei.

I find it hilarious people when so quick to pass the buck when it comes to stuff like Goku saying he's never kissed Chi Chi or Goku setting sick after travelling in Future Trunk's time machine, yet they are all Toriyama's ideas.

I'm calling it now: Vegetto will appear, Trunks will get a rage boost transformation and the Genki Dama sword will kill Merged Zamasu.

In episode 67, Goku says something like, "Hey Trunks! Your sword was like a genki dama. Eh?" I just thought is funny and blunt.

The issue is that it's so oddly specific when things you think would be in the outline are substantially different such as the time paradox or Kibito fight or the first present Black fight.
Both "gags" are awful regardless of who made it and Iband certainly not about critizing Toriyama directly, I personally feel the man has lost his touch and shouldnt be within 100 yards of his own creations but that's just my opinion.

Cocky Goku in BoG and RoF movies

"never kissed" gag was completely unnecessary and as said before dehumanizes him as it make us question how he could even get his wife pregnant twice.

"sick in the Time Machine" was a thing that people blammed Toei for weeks and it shows up to be another Toriyama "funny gag" "lol look how silly Goku is"

His portrayal in the manga was interesting till this chapter.

We don't know for sure if they came from Toriyama. Toyotaro said that, as the anime is further, he receives more information from it than what he gives to them. This kind of details may be the case. What we know for sure is that Toriyama has approved them, as he supervises Toyo's storiboards monthly. But I sincerelly doubt that Toriyama has written something like "Goku falls from the time machine".

No Toyotaro said Toriyama is very specific about the gags and less so about the other stuff. It's no coincidence it's in both the manga and anime.

Goku was completely in-character in BoG, I don't know what your problem with him was. In fact it's probably one of the best portrayals of the character, up there with the Boo arc.

"I could go back to Super Saiyan 2 if you want..."

I know Goku had no idea how strong Beerus was, but he could show some respect to his opponent nevertheless.

Of course not. Remember, 'when in doubt, blame Toei'.

I don't know about those two. Trunks feels like a transformation made to justify him fighting on Black's level without giving him Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, which I don't mind. The Spirit Bomb feels like Toei simply because they loved using it in the movies.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Considering how Goku was quite possibly the strongest fighter (gtfo Gohan, you're not a fighter) alive to his knowledge, I think the cockyness was warranted, even if it's just a small rehash of the Mr. Popo fight.

He just said that Toriyama is more particular about the gags than the story. About the information that he and Toei receive from Toriyama, he said that he recieves a plot that goes from A to B, and he is quite free to fill it in his way. He also said specifically that he is pretty free to create the comedy gags, which means they are less specified in the plot. I think it goes the same for Toei, I think they made the gags of the kiss and Goku falling, Toyotaro liked them, included them in the manga and Toriyama approved them too.

I think that's a real stretch to assume Toei created them when Toyotaro specifically states that Toriyama is more particular about the gags and both versions happened to have the same gags. Not everything Toei does is bad and not everything Toriyama does is good.

Ahh, there it is. Thanks.

So with Black being confirmed to be the present Zamasu and Kaioshin telling Beerus that destroying Zamasu would create a new timeline, it looks like Toyotaro is taking the same path as the anime for Black's origins after all. It's reasonable to deduce, then, that this must have been in the original script. Aside from that, there's numerous gags present that many people had previously believed were exclusive to the anime.

Funny how so many of the things we believe Toei to be at fault for was actually a part of the intended telling all along.

Not exactly because there is no paradox. Remember the official Toei version states there is no split timeline because it's destroyed.
