I'm pretty sure Mike's preparing some examples for the next podcast, so that should set things straight. But I think it's just an accent thing.. In a North American accent, the sound the O makes in "Sone" sounds exactly like "Go."

What is so hard about On with an S at the beginning?

You guys are just going over the same pronunciation over and over and over and over and over again, only some of you aren't reading it the way the others want you to read it.

...At least 1 or 2 people are questioning it because they want to say that the dub is "mispronouncing" Goku's name (as they have actually stated earlier in this very thread.)

I'm not saying that "Sone Goh-ku" is wrong, but "Son Gock-ku" is the way that it is written in Japanese, and how it is supposed to sound. Personally, you could say I mispronounce it, as I say "Goh-ku".

If that's the case then wouldn't it be more like "Goke" than "Gock?" O makes a long O sound in Japanese.

Taking my three years of Japanese into account, Goku is two (well, three, but we'll ignore the extra 'u') syllabals. 'Go' and 'ku'.

'Son' is pronounced pretty much as 'so' with an 'n' at the end. Not like the golden orb in the sky.

You mean in the dub? I believe the dub will be left entirely as-is, as was the case on the GT sets.

If you mean visual edits, then I know for sure that they won't. They have never done that on any uncut DVD (although I think I have heard about them still having some visual edits on their new Case Closed DVDs or something.)

In all the uncut DVDs, they have had uncut footage, so I just meant script changes.
