Well, yeah. #17's dialog points towards only him having fought Gohan before, and it's shown that the Androids take turns fighting.

Didn't it do that in the first Budokai game? Saiya-jin Saga, Freeza Saga, and Cell Saga?

I love having something different like this as the title screen!

Yep. I always thought that was a cool thing. Though since it didn't 'pre-load' the save data like the Sparking! games do you always saw the default Saiya-jin saga screen when you first loaded up.

Official site updated already. This one seems like the most random assortment of characters yet. (Although I guess it does have all the TV special characters.)

127) Super Saiya-jin SON Gohan (Future)

129) Mecha Freeza
130) Mister Satan

The SSJ Gohan bio at least mentions the fact that he loses an arm, but the bios are mostly descriptions of things that happened in the series, so who knows if that's still a possible alternate costume.

So who are we missing? There's Buu-era Gohan, SSJ Gohan, SSJ2 Gohan and Great Saiyaman, plus Videl and Great Saiyaman 2, Kame Sennin and his max form, and the DragonBall characters (Goku, Chichi, Yamucha, #8, Namu, Tambourine, Akkuman, Pilaf, Tao Baibai and his cyborg form, Piccolo Daimaou and Grandpa Gohan), for a total of 20. How many more are we missing?

EDIT: Ah, there's Super #17, I guess. Maybe they'll make Hell #17 playable too? Legendary Super Warriors had Future #17 and Future #18 as separate characters, maybe that's an idea?

Remaining characters are:

Kid Goku, Master Roshi (+Max Power), Kid Chi-Chi, Nam, Android 8, Tao, Cyborg Tao, Akkuman, Grandpa Gohan, Pilaf (+combined), Tambourine, King Piccolo, Gohan (+SSJ, SSJ2, and Saiyaman), Videl (+Saiyawoman), Supreme Kai (+Kibito Kai), Bebi Vegeta (+Super, Super2, and Golden Oozaru), Super 17, and Syn Shenron (+omega).

Those are the ones we know of. There's 2 unknowns as well, to get the number to 161.

I'm pretty sure there's no original characters. It was just a rumour I believe.

This time artwork was okay, Mr Satan's was the best, his act tough attitude is so funny and like him. The worst are the Mecha Freeza with red lipstick, no need to make him look more girly. And Bardock's picture seems to encourage his B2 in BT2... That smile is creepy. And I hope that hand ain't for molesting...

Anybody else have wonky issues with the Sparking! site. The first time I went there today, the site timed out. Then, when I finally got in, all of the links to any Meteor sections were 404 errors. Now, following Rach's link, it takes forever for a character load.

Uh, it's directly from Atari and Spike. Directly from Atari and Spike = Fact, not rumor. If it is incorrect it's misinformation/poor translation/poor wording.

Yeah, I had to have Rachel direct link me to one of the character pages last night so I could go through them for the avatars. Guess they're having server issues.

Sure, something like Gohanku, Potara fusion of Goku and Gohan, meaning: same, clothes, same attacks, almost the same face, some changes in hair = same crap.
