It seems the quality of the scripts has gone downhill fast. This episode only made me laugh 1 time (the Chaozu comment). Most of the jokes seemed really forced and, well, I can't stand the 4chan references. Previous parody episodes were much better.

Really good episode! I have to say the part that made me crack up the most was when Vegeta said "Nappa! It's a trick!" followed by "But Vegeta...Trix are for kids..." And then the lazer reference, but I think that what really made it funnier was the way Nappa's scream was delivered.

Keep it up! ^.^

Perhaps. But to be fair, after the initial "shock value" of seeing such a great DBZ Abridged wears off, episodes aren't going to seem as special as they were before.

Every abridged series is going to have the odd duff moment. For me, in this abridged series, it was Episode 6. Didn't particularly enjoy it. But I loved Episode 8, one which some people told me they didn't.

Maybe, some of the "catchphrases" were a tad forced. Although I did laugh at the "why didn't you dodge". Seemed a bit forced, but cleverly done.

Anyway, that's why I can't wait for new characters to be introduced. I can't wait to see the personalities they're given.
In a nutshell: Likes the sub and the dub and barely ever posts.

Could you expand a little bit on that? I'd say I'd disagree and that this is one of our better episodes, as the last few have been.

As well, there have barely been any 4Chan jokes.

To me it wasn't a bad episode. It just wasn't as good as the last two. In my opinion the last two were A's but this one was a B- or a C+.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

I had to pause, rip my headphones from my head and pick myself up from the ground by the time we got to 1006. Then I listened again (Guh I miss stuff easy XD ).

I was expecting a Creepy Popo Laugh (®) after Kami died, but the lack of hte expected is always a great thing... and woah, Popo still Popoin'...
"On second thought, catch it. Catch it with your teeth."
I couldn't really laugh at anything for a bit after Piccolo's death (And that the next time we see Gohan is about the most vulgarity in the whole series so far was kinda "...!" for me personally). For some reason I can't help but think the poignant deaths are handled well despite all the jokes surrounding them. :? maybe that's just me (T'en's last ride was pretty freaking sweet... Nappa's reaction to the Kikoho, the ensuing silence, and how when Ten hits the ground but doesn't exhale, and everything goes quiet ... Amazing. :D ).

Wait, was there something at the end or not? *Just downloaded the audio from the first Google result, which ends in five or so seconds of silence*

Excellent episode, my favorite line was after an angry Gohan kicked Nappa into a boulder: "TAKE THAT, YOU INSUFFERABLE FUCKING SIMPLETON!"

Although, I didn't get the "Nine minutes, eighteen seconds. Happiest moment of my life" bit. Was it to signify Nappa's death?

Yes, Nappa's death occurs at the 9:18 mark.

I agree and am equally confused. The best episodes have been since Vegeta and Nappa arrived on Earth, in my opinion.

And if the '4chan' reference was the over 9000 thing, that's kind of unavoidable. I think TFS handled it well.

Skull fuck was gross and severely out of character. I do not approve of skull fuck. But the rest had me out of my chair.

'Out of character' to what? Gohan in Abridged? Gohan in the actual manga? Because practically everyone is out of character if you compare them to their manga counterparts.

I saw it as a joke on how Gohan snaps and flies into a rage sometimes. I'm sure it'll become part of Gohan's character as the Abridged goes on. I can just imagine him swearing up a storm at Freeza.

I don't understand why people are so against the 4chan reference, I mean I might be a tad biased being a /b/tard myself but some of the funniest things you'll see on the internet come from /b/ and 4chan. We aren't all bad people over at 4chan....

Because all those "SUPER FUNNY" jokes are beat into the ground and done to death hearing "OMG SHOOP DA WHOOP MUDKIPZ 9,000!!!111" get's old really fucking quickly. Not to mention /b/ is pretty much full of "INTERNET TUFF GUISE" which quite frankly is pathetic. /b/ is viewed as the shithole of 4chan for a reason because that whole "ANONOMOOSE DOESNT FORGIVE RAID TIEM" bullshit is overly jejune.

I'm sorry, have my colleagues at Anonymous done something to you in the past that was less than satisfactory? I assure you it was not personal, they were simply doing it for the lulz.

So do you guys have any idea what direction you are going to take for parts of the series that are mostly heavy action, like Goku vs. Freeza, and parts of Goku vs. Vegeta, which is coming up next episode?
