I think one of this series mistake could be that "universe busting" shit in SSJG vs Beerus fight, because later fights were not consistent with this

Nor was DBZ with planet busting, they should be stepping planets apart but instead make every attack that's going to destroy a planet look like a big deal.Noah wrote:I think one of this series mistake could be that "universe busting" shit in SSJG vs Beerus fight, because later fights were not consistent with this

Can someone explain to me how Hit's time skip works?
I rewatched the fight and something stood out to me. When Goku first uses the Kaioken he can move even when Hit stops time and explains he's at a level beyond that. I initially thought he'd just become so fast he could travel through stopped time.
However by the next episode Hit says he'd extended his time skip even further and now he can stop Goku again.
Stopped time is just stopped time. Why does him just stopping time a tad longer suddenly make it so Goku can no longer travel through it?
The other thing that's odd is that it's implied Hit can't increase his strenght but just the limit of his time skip but after Hit extended it and knocked Goku down, Goku said "Hit's powered up attack really hurt. I can only take a couple more of em at best".
So does he get stronger when his time skip extends or what? Afterall he wasn't instantly beaten after Goku used Kaioken and he could power up in the manga.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
The manga explained it a lot better. Basically Time Skip doesn't fully work on opponents stronger than Hit.Bullza wrote:Can someone explain to me how Hit's time skip works?

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
I wouldn't give precedence to the manga in this case, because the anime handled his ability much better, making for an exciting moment. I never thought that skipping animation frames would make sense, but it did, when the manga can only show one panel after another. Hit skips time to one second later, for example, which means that, if Goku had already moved in a fraction of that second, then the two of them would meet. He just didn't expect Goku to be that fast with Kaioken x10.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
I think the problem is the anime shows it as a time stop when it should literally be a time "skip" as in Hit skips forward into the future and doesn't exist in the physical world for that brief amount of time while moving through time and space. The issue is if you're a super fast opponent and able to predict his movements by being a good fighter you will still be able to counter it when he comes out of the skip. Just my opinion.Bullza wrote:Can someone explain to me how Hit's time skip works?

Let me tell you something why this happenedTheMikado wrote:My beef is that characters even at the beginning of Z basically gave no craps about the environment once their backs were to the wall. Every character basically resorted to the same tactic. I would hope Zamasu gets there too out of desperation. Except we have this bogus wanting to perserve the earth when they could basically blow it up, be done with it all and just wish the earth back with the Super Dragonballs like it was already done in literally the previous arc. Just seems way more efficient.

That's why Marvel,DC,sailor moon, saint seiya, and others goes through same thing dragon ball gone through. They have characters that can destroy planets, stars galaxies etc with yet you barely see them do it all the time why are people trying to act like dragon ball is the only one guilty of this where others have the same problems.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
The Super Dragon Balls don't exist in the future timeline, so what you referring to. Plus, it's different to have a villain that does care about the environment over people like Freeza and Buu, except Kid Buu, who could have destroyed the planet at anytime and be done, but don't because of character flaws.

I have hit getting proportionally stronger as his time skip extends, ie: 2x at 0.2x. 5x at 0.5s.Bullza wrote:Can someone explain to me how Hit's time skip works?

This is supported by the anime as Hit's attacks also do more damage, initially he's about even with or even slightly below SSBlue Goku but once he goes to 0.2s he wrecks him easily, then he starts getting demolished by Kaioken x10 Goku but is once again able to put up a fight once his timeskip extends to 0.5s, especially when Goku's energy starts burning out.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Just saying he does improve again after the 0.5s but doesn't state the time, So if you're going with that then he has improved more than 5x than his initial number.TheUltimateNinja wrote:I have hit getting proportionally stronger as his time skip extends, ie: 2x at 0.2x. 5x at 0.5s.Bullza wrote:Can someone explain to me how Hit's time skip works?

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Power Level Discussion Thread
Hit doesn't become physical stronger. He only improves his Time-Skip. In fact, Hit explicitly said that he can't become stronger like a Saiyan, but he has improvement. The reason why Hit's attacks hurt is because he's hitting vital area with pin-point accuracy. Also, Goku got floored at the .2 second because he wasn't expecting Hit to improve and was charging in for an attack. And he was blindsided again when Hit went up to .5 seconds.TheUltimateNinja wrote: I have hit getting proportionally stronger as his time skip extends, ie: 2x at 0.2x. 5x at 0.5s.

If Hit didn't get more powerful then he would've never had a chance against SSJBKK Goku and would've got one shotted before he could fire a neuron.HeroR wrote:Hit doesn't become physical stronger. Proof? The only thing similar to that was that charging up his ki didn't do anything.
Attacking vital areas doesn't suddenly gain you faster reaction speeds and enhanced durability.

Since the target is literally frozen in time, Goku being faster doesn't matter.

Yes it does. If you were tasked the use a 5 second Tokitobashi right at the time someone shot a bullet at you, you would get hit because you don't have the reactions to activate the Tokitobashi that fast even if all you had to do was think.

Goku being faster is moot against Hit, until he learns to counter him.

His Time-Skip improved the moment Goku moved in to attack. And improved again suddenly when Goku was thinking of tanking Hit's attacks again until he learns the improved Time-Skip. Both times, no physical power increase was noted.Helios518 wrote:

Physical power doesn't need to be noted if it's shown that he got faster and more durable.
