Now who's gonna clean up that mess? I thought he was trying to do this secretly? Wouldn't it have just been better to blow him up entirely or re-absorb him?

Batistabus you bring up a good point. Then again maybe the lounge is meant to double as the interrogation room for the extra-universal time police.

And if he's able, why wouldn't he just make them stronger in the first place? Why make them weak just to kill them and replace them later?

I gotta wonder if it actually hurts Cell when he produces Cell Jr's. Must be one hell of a constipation.

That also makes me wonder if Cell get's weaker when he produces Cell Jr's.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Maybe the strength of a Cell Jr. is "set" depending on how strong Cell himself is when he creates them, and the one that was hanging around before was made at a time when he was weaker than he is now?

Designed obsolescence? Cell always struck me as somewhat sadistic. On a more serious note, I think Cell only makes his "children" at a certain strength level so he does not have to use much ki (or any) to do it. To make a significantly stronger version Cell needs to put in more effort and it taxes his body. Like how when King Piccolo created his own twisted offspring, the process took some of his energy (if temporarily) to do. I also remember him saying it would make his lifetime shorter as well.

Does anyone else feel that Cell is being a bit too cocky? I mean yeah thats pretty in-character for him, but does he honestly think a "stronger" Cell Jr would be enough to put up a decent fight against or even kill Gast, who single handedly defeated Freeza, Cell himself and even Boo?
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Let's say Cell absorbed the Boo of his universe, we never know, he might spawn a Cell Jr. with all his power, who knows :d

We'll find out soon enough

The Cell Jrs are surprisingly close to Cell in power. It all depends on how strong Cell really is.

I don't think they're just close, I think they're the exact same as his current power level. So if he powers up to his max and creates one, it will be that strong. That must just be an old Cell Jr or something. Anyway, I don't think he should be as strong as Boo (on the other hand I don't think Gast should be either but oh well...)
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I'm looking forward what Cell plans on doing. I guess this Cell junior is stronger then the one that he killed and I won't be surprise if the Cell Jr loses.

Was it even confirmed that he beat all those villains? Plus, I mean, even if he did beat Cell, he would have likely not reached his perfect form, or even contained Freeza's cells to begin with.
