A tad nitpick here. Goku didn't go from 8k to 90k. Remember he got a zenkai after he recovered from the hospitalKentalSSJ6 wrote:In 6 days Goku went from 8,000 to 90,000. To have him go from his power level on Planet Namek (so really weak) to a point where he is stronger than Goku at his max (so even stronger than Buu) in such a short amount of time is impossible and unrealistic even for DBZ.

Basically ceasing to be you takes away any joy or pleasure you ever had. Or in this case, make someone a lesser being can be done.Storm101 wrote:I agree, which is why I like how DB reincarnates evil souls. They still don't learn anything because it simply wipes them clean, but it gives them a second chance to be a good person. Reincarnating Buu was definitely the better choice, Uub makes a pretty strong hero for the universe.
Point stands. Eternal damnation offers nothing. No one gains from it. Eternal community service would make more sense. In dragon balls case, the evil souls would have to do jobs and work off their sentence. Like an afterlife prison.Big Momma wrote:A tad off-topic, but the point of Hell (In the eternal suffering sense) is for people to change their ways before ending up there. It's a punishment you know about beforehand, and thus have the chance to avoid.

His PL was never revealed at that point. It went from his 8k during the fight with Vegeta to the 90k when he arrived on Namek. We got no PL in between so I used the last recorded PL.TheGmGoken wrote:A tad nitpick here. Goku didn't go from 8k to 90k. Count me in the group that has a problem with Freeza training for 4 months and getting to Super Saiyan God tier. That said, I'm going to hope against hope that it's something more than regular punching-bag-and-pushups training.

It wasn't revealed doesn't mean he didn't get stronger. He wasn't 8K(or whateva over 8,000 is) when he got a zenkai. But it's no point in debating.PL was never revealed at that point. Maybe we will finally get something new within one day or so. It is already February 20 in Japan, isn't?

I truly don't know anything about timezone... Especially here in my country when we are in Daylight Saving Time.

You could just google "Japan Time"Dyno wrote:FatNagger69 wrote:It's 12:45pm on the 19th.Dyno wrote:Maybe we will finally get something new within one day or so. It is already February 20 in Japan, isn't?

We saw Freeza getting out of a tub before in the trailer. It's possible that henchmen have build a super mutant bath allowing him to grow stronger over time. Freeza never needed it until now since he always feel that he was the strongest in the universe in the past.dbzfan7 wrote:Magic elixir, mutant bath, Freeza race happy fun time circle, Freeza is the chosen one, pick oneTyro wrote:Count me in the group that has a problem with Freeza training for 4 months and getting to Super Saiyan God tier. For a lot of people that is left field.Tennessaiyan wrote:I seriously doubt that Vegeta alone will be the one to take Freeza down,I think that how the movie ends will come completely out of left field.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I really think it's time for a second trailer now, the movie is less than 2 months away and all they've shown is a small 1 minute clip.

Except now he's being retconned to always know about Beerus and Buu. Not to mention that he didn't try this even back when Goku kicked his ass and he got nearly two years of time to train/bathe.Hellspawn28 wrote:We saw Freeza getting out of a tub before in the trailer. Oh, and Goku didn't go from 8,000 to 90,000 with training BTW. He did it with near-death healing boosts. He got five of them.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Re: disappointment?
I'm only disappointed that "Dragon Back to the Future: Part II" won't be happening, but I had a lot of fun theorizing about it here with everyone, so not a total loss. (I wanted those awkward Vegeta and Bulma scenes so bad.)
Re: power and how Freeza gets it
This I don't care much about. Low on my priorities for this film. It matters how he gets it, but I'm not gonna theorize on it.
Re: what I'm still waiting for
Gokû and Vegeta!! My faves! Where are you, what are you doing, and please tell me comedic happenstance is involved.
I want them as classmates and roommates over at Beerus' planet so bad. We've never seen them train/live together. I have wanted that since I first saw the Room of Spirit and Time episodes on Toonami ages ago. OuO
This would grant a very old DB-related wish of mine. Please let it be so.
