I really don't see the need for having loads and loads of characters. The most important aspect is the gameplay.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

60 would my max amount of characters. I would say sick with 45 for now and add more for a sequel.

Yeah, that's a balanced amount of characters. Dimps just needs to look at what Spike did wrong in all their games and make sure to not make any of those mistakes, one of them being that they had pointless characters as well as making an evolved form its own character.[/quote]

Majin Vegeta, Baby Vegeta and normal Vegeta all play different from each other.

Honestly I would have Bebi Vegeta as a different character or have Bebi as his own character

In IW, they should have made Bebi Vegeta into a item transformation similar to Majin Vegeta. XV needs to make both Majin Vegeta and Bebi Vegeta into transformation items that you need to attach to the character. Same with Bebi Janemba if he ever shows up in the game.

Except. Bebi Vegeta isn't the same character as Vegeta. Majin Vegeta is Vegeta. Bebi Vegeta is Bebi. That's why they shouldn't be the same slot. Hell just make Bebi like Boo and give Bebi his own slot

Both Bebi Vegeta and Majin Vegeta are both Vegeta got their minds taken over by a evil force. To me, there's not a big difference between the two since Bebi Vegeta would have the same set of moves as Vegeta expect for his final attack in his third form.

majin Vegeta's mind isnt completely taken over like bebi vegetas, and majin vegeta is fully aware of himself unlike bebi's

Bebi did more than take over the mind. He took the whole body. He's not even Vegeta no more. Everything is different. Just do what they did with Boo. That way you can get other Bebi forms as well. Pointless for Bebi to be in Vegeta slot.

I too think Baby Vegeta should be his own character, but not Majin Vegeta. For Baby Vegeta though, either he becomes his own person, or as GmGoken said, just put Baby(2nd form) in and just put in the Vegeta absorption skill. Heck, I even want them to start with Baby Vegeta's first form, then the ripped 2nd form(which looks cool IMO), and then the final form. They did it with Vegito by starting with base.

No it wasn't. He said have Bebi under Vegeta. I said have Bebi on his own since it wouldn't take no unnecessary space and Bebi got more people he could take over. It's like having Boo on Gohan slot

I really wouldn't mind if this game had some secret bosses similar to how the Street Fighter series had originally introduced Akuma as a secret boss. Maybe if certain criteria were met, the game's path would verge off into one of the movies (depending on what arc you were playing) where that movie's villain would be a secret boss. Maybe something like Garlic Jr., Tullece, Cooler, Broli, Bojack, and Janemba just to roughly cover all the arcs with the more memorable villains. Getting those paths would require certain battles to have different outcomes than the normal story and the bosses would be a bit harder than the boss of the regular storyline.

Time travel seems to be a theme within the game, anyway. Why not go ahead and play around with the "movies as alternate routes" idea like they've done in previous games? Because this is the first game in the series, I wouldn't ask for all of the movie villains to show up in the game. However, a nice selection of secret bosses would be cool. It would be like the secret boss in Attack of the Saiyans, except they would be in context with whatever's actually going on in the story arc.

NOTE: Nothing like this was mentioned during Bandai's E3 presentation. I'm just spitballing an idea I'd like to see implemented into the game.

I would honestly love something like this, but I would prefer to have the Z story covered more completely before they worry about that. My personal roster would still allow for a couple of these boss branches though, but not as many as I'd like while trying to keep the roster reasonable for main story coverage (my reasoning for it all, as well as my roster, in the spoiler tag).
This could have it so that you can play through Episode of Bardock if you meet the conditions while having Bardock fight Freeza. Other conditions could lead to Coola serving as a boss on Namek, Broli in the Cell Arc and Janenba in the Buu Arc. If you want to round it up to 60 though, it'd be fine to add in Garlic Junior, Tullece, Bojack and Mister Satan ( I really wanted him on this roster, but decided to cut him for a potential sequel).
