I apologize for double posting
Except King Cold does in fact have genetic difference's from Freeza. Also the reason why I choose the other two, was because they were both designed by Akira Toriyama. Back to King Cold, he doesn't have Freeza's stripes, and he's a darker pink color, and his gems are blue. He's not asexualKanassa wrote: Only one of those is a canonical example, and it does look like Frieza

Asexual means "Without gender" or "Without sexual interest", neither definition has anything to do with looking like someone else.Gog wrote:Yes, that's what asexuality means.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:NoGog wrote:Yeah, but here's another thing, asexuality means that all of their race, must look like Freeza

If they were asexual reproducing creatures (better?) then that would mean that the whole race would look the same. Namekians. You're forgetting that genetics don't apply the same way in DB.Gog wrote:If they were asexual reproducing creatures (better?) then that would mean that the whole race would look the same. With no minor difference's as they would literally be clones

Except all the namekians do look the same, Dragon ball xenoverse, or Dragon ball online don't actually count in this matter, and even with the namekians, their just really old, young or fat, muscular.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Namekians. The arcosians actually look really different from each other

I never mentioned the games, and you need to re-view the Namek Arc. They look about as different from each other as the only members of Freeza's race that matter, which are Cold, Freeza, and Frost.Gog wrote:Except all the namekians do look the same, Dragon ball xenoverse, or Dragon ball online don't actually count in this matter, and even with the namekians, their just really old, young or fat, muscular.

Now that I look them they do have subtle difference's between them, I had to check that up. But Kold, Chilled, Freeza, Coola look nothing like each other, except for King cold. Also Frost has so many difference's from Freeza it hurts, like the feet, the pants, the gems, the face.

I remember on a few translations of Super Vegeta says fuck A LOT. When training with Goku he said, "Compared to you I'm a fucking genius!" and in the flashback to Vegeta remembering Beerus from when he was a kid he said, "What's going on? Don't fuck with me!" That one's my favorite since there's something hilarious about kid Vegeta telling Beerus not to fuck with him.Soppa Saia People wrote:I saw a fan translation of the Blue saga, where Kuririn and Bulma called Blue a, "Fucking faggot".jamiljamtheman wrote:It was honestly funny, but it still bugged me:

I get triggered quite often. I'll just bring up a recent example: "Evil is 100% stronger than Pure Boo in the Anime".
Whenever someone says stuff like "It's obvious that Super Buu is the strongest" I lose my shit.
I agree, Evil Boo is stronger... in the Manga.
When we have multiple official sources stating how Pure Boo is "on a whole different level from the other Boos" then the "debate" is really on the same level as Tien vs. Krillin.

Re: Things that grind your gears
I, too, prefer McNeil's Piccolo to Sabat's. Not quite to the extent you do; I actually am willing to accept Sabat's Piccolo, but McNeil's just feels more right. Same about Brian Drummond's Vegeta, Peter Kelamis's Goku, Don Brown's King Kai, Brad Swaile's Boo-era Gohan, and even Terry Klassen's Krillin. I'm quite fortunate in that over here in the UK, Ocean came back starting from when Trunks came to Earth. The budget was lower, and the music was different, but all the voices were back. It was pretty great.Pickle_Jar wrote:[...]
To me, Scott McNeil is Piccolo, hands-down. I miss Piccolo's deep, demonic growl and epic death metal power up screams that made me truly believe he was dangerous even as a "good guy".
Giving me Piccolo with somebody besides Scott McNeil voicing him is like trying to sell me the Michael Bay Transformers movies or Transformers: Prime with somebody other than Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime. Other actors have voiced the boss bot in other versions of Transformers and did great at it, there's something about the way Peter Cullen does it that makes you go "everything's fine here."
I feel like that with McNeil's version of Piccolo. Even now, to this day, I mentally play back an old Piccolo line when I'm scared or uncertain: "Don't worry, kid, I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." Nobody can deliver that line the way McNeil did.
I don't know if you know this, but Ocean did dubs of the first three DBZ movies between their two runs of dubbing the series. There are DVDs of them out there if you haven't seen them yet. Worth seeing.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Perhaps in the real world, not in a fantasy world.Gog wrote:

But even in the real world you have no idea if an alien race wouldn't able to reproduce asexually and still imprint its offspring with the required and normal mutations in its dna to become a different being instead of a clone.
Re: Things that grind your gears
I hate the fact people down play hit from DBS manga he is not that weak as people say he is and plus he was holding back in the back in the manga we don't know his full power both the anime and the manga
Mostly active on discord.

This might shock you but technically even clones can look different. It even happened in reality. I think with Sheep. What you think about are those "absolute clones" like for example the Jango Fett clone warriors.Gog wrote:If they were asexual reproducing creatures (better?) then that would mean that the whole race would look the same. Re: Things that grind your gears
You do know that sheep aren't asexual... Anyway What I'm saying is that the difference between all the arcosian's that we've seen is just massive in comparison, asexual creatures can have minor differences between them but what we see in canon, and non canon, as all the designs are by Akira Toriyama, is just so massive, in comparison to the namekians.Cetra wrote:This might shock you but technically even clones can look different. Re: Things that grind your gears
Yeah, I most often refer to the manga as "the Dragon Ball manga", but I do use "Z" when referring specifically to that portion where Viz split it.

Re: Things that grind your gears
The only time the issue manifests with me is if I'm referencing a particular manga chapter. What I'll do is give the original chapter number, then the Viz Z chapter number if necessary. The only problem you could run into here is if someone is looking through Full Color Volumes, where chapter numbers reset at the beginning of each arc. I won't touch that one with a 20 foot pole.
