Select the 'Rectangular Marquee Tool', highlight the area you want to delete, then right-click and select 'Feather'. If I want to fade something, I usually go for feather 50.

All that's doing is reshaping the the selection. Am I doing something wrong?

What... you mean when you click feather? If so, that's fine- just press 'Delete' to fade the section. Though, you're gonna have to experiment with it quite a bit to get the desired effect.

Well, looky that. I just ended up doing it the old-fashioned way, with the Eraser.

So take a look...

Alright, here goes...

*Gulp*

I've been looking at it for a while, and I think we need a new concept. It's too similar to the previous one (the Earth in the background), too colourful and unsettling to look at, and... doesn't represent the dark, gritty theme of Movie 3. Movie 3 is different from all the other movies, because it's so dark. If you're not willing to give this one up, can we make a third poster? I've got a new idea, and it's got something to do with that glass flower that breaks in the wind. We could have a close-up of the breaking flower (isolated in a desert with animal bones and stuff), with the fragments trailing off into the wind. In each fragment of the flower, we could have a faded image of each of the battle-damaged characters... which appear to be reflecting off it (but isn't). The colour of the flower should be faded grayish-red. Oh! And we've got to have a girl's lost teddy-bear lying in a ditch. We have to make it look depressing.

What else...

(I'm gonna have a bath right now, so I'll think of some new ideas there)

Oh yeah, and I like the 'Battle For Earth' Text at the bottom.

But... this was the "original" one... :(

A third would be fine, but now that I've pretty much finished this one after working on it for a week, I'm still determined to use it.

I agree though, that it is a little bright. I'll tweak it around a bit, see if I can make it "darker"...

Sure. The font, you say? You mean the "DragonBall Z" logo of Kino's we're using, or the font file?

If it's possible, the logo file (PSD or PNG) and the font.

Man, all of these 1337 GFX skillz  Just so we're on the same page, you guys are planning on using more than one poster, right?

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Yup. AND I just had the brilliant idea (mentioned it to Stevey) to make animated banners for advertising via signatures (on other forums, of course).

Hey guys..decided to take Mr. Announcer's art and make a poster out of it. I read that you guys were looking for a darker tone..so I sorta thought about the third Pirates movie posters, and took off from there.

So check it out:

Personally, I think Tullece looks kinda... odd on that poster. Too happy.

I think "can it be stopped" should be lower, but that's the only complaint I have. Awesome job.

Steve, you're fired. Saiyan, welcome to the club!

...Kidding. That's very nice, though. Even though we already have like... 3 posters... @_@

Tell ya what... If I give you the .psd of what I have of mine (the "Face to Face") thus far, you think you could finish that up, work some of your dark, fog-tastic magic on it?
