Yeah, I doubt there would have been enough energy around for Buu to hatch in U17. I figure Cell would have had to have killed Bojack and Broly, though, since their appearance on Earth was unrelated to the outcome of the Cell Games.

I think the biggest hint of him not fighting Buu would be that Cell was not familiar with Dabra when they fought...though I guess Babidi could have somehow sacrificed all his minions to restore Buu's energy.

I wonder if that was Gast taking out Cell Jr's nucleus?

Piccolo does it at the 23rd TB while in his giant form.

Ah, so Cell is definitely stronger than he was as SPC. Still don't know how that means he was definitely stronger than Fat Boo.

That was a complete waste of a match if the entire point was to showcase Cell was stronger than he was at the Cell Games and that "Gast" or whatever his name is, is stronger than that; poor writing (Unless there's some significance of it in the next page, which I doubt).

It doesn't matter either way. The Cell Juniors assumedly can't regenerate or have as complex and durable designs as Cell, considering how Gohan defeated them.

If i'm not mistaken Cell Jr. was a ssj2 which means Gast defeated someone in the
SS level 2 with a single shot, but yeah, they should be more clear about Gast's power.

Personally,i believe Gast is way stronger than Ultimate Gohan.

I thought Gast blasted his brain to avoid Cell jr regeneration.

In the manga Gohan decapitated several Cell jrs.

Avoiding regeneration is a good theory for Gast using this pirate one eyed laser, but then again Piccolo Daimao do has a point with cell juniors not showing much regeneration abilities at all.

Actually Cell, Gast and Zen buu have been my favorite characters so far in the continuing DBM series.

Some of my least have to be Goten and Trunks being 30 year old adults and acting like jokester teenagers. Even their adult fusion was a total let down. Frustration!

Goku's Shunkan-Ido Kamehameha blasted off the top half of Cell's body, yet he still managed to regenerate.

And in the manga, decapitation wasn't the only way Gohan killed the Cell Juniors.

You know very well that Toriyama later contradicts himself when Cell says that he survived
the suicidal explosion, because his nucleus remained intact.
Daizenshuu 7:
Regeneration
As long as their head is intact, they can return to normal.
Namekians can regenerate their body structure, though this consumes a considerable amount strength. According to one theory, it seems that as long as their head remains they can regenerate all of their bodies' structure, returning a hand or leg to normal. There are also examples of them cutting off arms injured in battle, then regenerating them.
And in the manga, decapitation wasn't the only way Gohan killed the Cell Juniors.
Yes,decapitation it wasn't the only way Gohan killed the Cell Juniors, however,we can see all of them smashed into pieces.

At least six of them were headless in the manga.

I'm pretty sure the Cell Juniors simply lack the ability to regenerate like Cell himself does.

Yeah, but we don't know for sure, and we definitely don't know if that's the case here... especially with the super-powered Cell Jrs. I mean, if they have all the other abilities of Cell, why not regeneration?

He didn't contradict himself, I don't understand how hard it is to understand this simple concept; especially seeing that it's been explained numerous times here on Daizex.
Dayspring wrote:Guys: Most likely the nucleus just regenerates in order of priority. From this, we get no plothole with it being in the brain after everything but the nucleus was destroyed; it just chose to regenerate the brain first since it had to regenerate everything anyway.

In other words, if the nucleus was in his knee and the upper half of the body gets destroyed, it's not going to regenerate a completely new body or even start with making a new knee, as nothing below the waist needs to be regenerated. It's also not going to start with a new brain, heart or shoulder; it will regenerate from what's missing at the waist and work its way up. After he self-destructed, what's missing is literally everything but the nucleus itself, so it just started with the brain, be it randomly chosen or intentional.

Thus, pre-self-destruct, it was in the lower half of the body, whereas post-self-destruct it was in his brain, like he said it was. No plothole occured, here, it just didn't choose the cells that surrounded it pre-self-destruct as the first ones to regenerate.

Why?
They are exactly like Cell.
Is there anything in the Daizenshuu that clarifies this question?
