Vegeta's hair and eye color do not match Black's. His colors are too saturated and it's a bit off-putting. Otherwise it's fine piece of work.

My thoughts: This is the only fanfic in history where I've seen Freeza cry and have it be in-character. The events of the story don't change him out of being an evil little bastard, but it opens up the possibility that even a shithead like him is capable of loving somebody else. It makes his crying breakdown scene so painful to 'watch'. What makes it doubly sad is he doesn't understand that the pain he's experiencing is the heart he just discovered he had is broken. Grief is that foreign to him.

My thoughts: Probably my favorite "Goten is born" story. ChiChi has a natural waterbirth. I love it when Piccolo shows up because he sensed her ki spiking due to the contractions. He and ChiChi talk a bit until her labor gets so intense that she has to focus on it. Poor Piccolo gets a real crash course in how human childbirth works. They have some hilarious verbal exchanges that put a bit of comedy into an otherwise serious and sweet story. I love how ChiChi's view of Piccolo gets totally upended until she realizes he's not a horrible monster after all.

Author's summary: Meet Tonkeshin, an optimistic Namek with a lot to prove.
My thoughts: Probably my favorite OC fic. Tonkeshin is a blind Namek...and the author of the fic is blind IRL! Tonkeshin stayed behind on Earth and pretty much lives like and works like any other Earthling. The plot goes into motion when he gets an email at work about the World Martial Arts Tournament and signs up. Then he has some entertaining escapades leading up to the actual tournament. (The gym scenes killed me lmao!) I think my favorite parts are his interactions with Piccolo and the non-visual descriptions. The author is describing things the way he experiences the world and it's a real treat to get that sort of insight.
