#86

Probably Tates strongest episode on the series period.

Even though I say that, I noticed that Tsuji was definitely a dominating force throughout the episode.

As for the "controversial" Tate cut, I think it's defintely a step up from what we got in #79, but I still have a minor gripe with it. This minor gripe being that I think the way Tate drew Goku's clothes in some scenes made them look a little baggy and awkward.

Otherwise a great episode with a great storyboard and great art direction to back it up.

Its really a treat whenever they have SSJB Goku's one bang standing up in the middle of the two, its the only thing I love about SSJB because SSJ never had it before in Z.

Depends on if they continue to give him at least 8 weeks for each episode and when the tournament starts.
Assuming there are no breaks and they stick to 8 weeks then his next episode will be 94, I'd assume tournament will have started by then, my money is on it starting on episode 92 or 93.
They jumped a few hours this episode right? We're 31 hrs away now I believe #92/93 for the actual ToP seems a pretty solid prediction.

I'ma guess that 90 and 91 will be some training and maybe showing some more of what's going on in the other universes, 92 will be getting everyone together and going to the world of void and then 93 will be the start of the tournament.

Hmm... Talking about shida. Maybe he'll start joining/animating in episode 90, and give us one of those climax cuts

Maybe it's episode 95 or 96 that he'll finish his cut? Or maybe there's a break between the Tournament giving more time for animators? Like maybe episode 94 will be a heavy dialouge?

Or the actual fight is 3 episodes in a row with a super-good animated actions non-stop, well they can give Shida do the climax with a 1 minute cut, but it needs to be one of his best cut like the One Piece opening where Luffy beat all of the previous villains in one go.

Really though, I'm not satisfied if it's not good, I want Shida to animate with same dynamics movement in episode 57, but 1 minute long like his cut in episode 66.
Because, they are like saving a lots of resources in these 9 epiosodes.
I'm predicting that the tournament will last atleast for 5-7 episodes.

Yuya Takahashi posted more doodles that are clearly Dragon Ball related.

If he doesn't show up on an episode of Super in the next 5 months I'm gonna feel like I got blue balled.

That's definitely SSJ3 Goku, I wonder who he will use it against, he should've use it against Android 17.

This is just a practice doodle, he's not confirmed to be working on any episodes.

Was this considered a good Tate episode? :?

Definitely not a fan of his work, and I don't think I ever will be. The way he draws the characters just don't look good to me, IMO this episode could've been so much better had he been heavily corrected during the 17 VS Goku part.

That's what the first thing that come up to my mind when Ajay retweeted this Tweet. For a second I thought it was that character from Bleach.

Well, maybe there's gonna be a SSJ 3 in the Tournament?
Who knows? If he did practice, then he is like preparing for the Director's hellish command. Lol anything could happen

I thought it looked more fem Broly than SS3 Goku. But yeah up close looks SS3 Goku surprised he's doodling/practising SS3 instead of SS.

Again, he's not confirmed to be working on any Super episodes and he's been posting lots of practice doodles, both Dragon Ball and other stuff. Don't read into what you are seeing at all, other than the fact that he's still actively practicing Dragon Ball's style so he could show up in the future.

Is there no possibility of his cut being a surprise?

Sure, he could show up soon, but I also think it'd be a waste to have him show up on an episode a month or so before the tournament. There's really no reason to think we'll see him on an episode in the next few weeks.

Funnily enough, the fight was actually pretty heavily corrected.

I'm not really a fan of Tate, mainly because of his rough art and even though this episode was was fluid, I think he did a better job in Episode 79 than this.

Those are Goku's clothes and that hair doesn't look like FemBroly's. If he is practising it's because of something, he wouldn't be practising DB draws if he is not going to appear in the series, or that's what I think.

I thought this episode was decent as 79,in both episode Tate really shine, but I did hate the Aura of drugged Basil,it was really distracting
