Beerus better be up next. The fact that he's considered a villain in the first place is silly enough as it is but being placed above Cell, Buu, Freeza, Piccolo Daimao, or Vegeta would be sacrilege.

As you can tell, I take my galaxy busting, martial arts series' very seriously.

Is it just me or is Lani making Spudz look older throughout each game?
Considering his first appearance in Ultimate Tenkaichi, his brief cameo in Xenoverse, and his Xenoverse 2 incarnation, it would seem that the hybrid warrior is experiencing the ravages of time.

It wouldn't surprise me if they place him above Majin Boo and Cell, given their high opinions of BoG, but I can't imagine him being placed above Freeza.

Lord Beerus wrote:I'm sorry but... no. Piccolo is way too high on the list. He was a carbon copy of King Piccolo and lasts a villain for one tournament. I mean, his fight with Goku is fantastic, but as a villain, he's really bland.
His stint as a villain was less impressive than his father's, but left a much bigger impact on the series than other villains lower on the list. His fight is also one of the most amazing-- if not the best-- in the series. We wholeheartedly believe he earns the spot at #7.
I like that fight too, but I think TFS's description of the Goku-Piccolo fight as being possibly the "most drag-out, visceral, and exhausting fight in the entire franchise", and one that "pushes Goku to the absolute limit" was very charitable towards the Green Machine. Having re-read the fight recently, Goku dominates it pretty easily despite the combatants being equal in power and despite giving Piccolo a couple dumb advantages because of "honor". The whole fight basically consists of Piccolo doing something dumb, Goku lecturing him about why he's dumb, and then Goku beating his face in for being so dumb. Repeat 3-4 times. Piccolo only ever had a shot at winning through one last-second, extremely luck cheap shot; besides that, Goku destroyed him.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Hmm, Not sure lumping in Babidi with Buu was right. I Think Babidi stands on his own enough.

Now, predictions for the rest of the list

[spoiler]5. Beerus
4. King Piccolo
3. Cell
2. Vegeta

I like Boo a lot. He's great. Except for Kid Boo.....what about him is great? He's basically a Majin as Broly from movies 10/11. Just a force of nature and that's it. Much worse than the so called Cell clone. Kid/Pure Boo is such a boring character. The other Boo's are so much better than he is.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

If I had to take a guess at who the top 5 will be, it'd be something like this:

5. Beerus
4. Cell
3. Piccolo Daimao
2. Vegeta
1. Freeza

So I was thinking we're actually getting DB Super Episode #72 and Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan ABRIDGED for Christmas. Which one of these will be your priority, guys? lol

I like Fat Buu a lot. I still remember the first time I watched his reveal and was in awe for the next dozen or so episodes at the character. I loved every moment. And I still love him as a character. Here's hoping he gets to do more.

My priority is TFS apologizing for putting Beerus in the Top 5.

In all seriousness, WEN BROLY since I really don't care much for their movie releases and want that out of the way ASAP.

Never. <3

Also, ouch. Well, I suppose our movies are usually more irreverent and most people don't have so much of an attachment to the films as they do the show.

Oh dear. I didn't mean to imply that your movie abridged projects are awful but it's like you said, most people, myself included, don't care for the movies as much as the show so I mean, I don't hate them but compared to the long-lasting abridged universe you've painstakingly and professionally created for the past 8-9 years, the movies don't do half as much for me as they do for the regular episodes.

Well, I do! I don't know if you're counting movies and specials, but for me what you guys did with Movie 3, 4, 5, BTFG and HOT will always hold a special place in my heart and Movie 8 is so damn awaited that makes me thrilled to think about it

Can't say how excited am I to imagine what you guys could do with Movie 12, BoG and RoF in the future

I'm starting to get the impression that people are sort of overcompensating with how much they dislike Broly. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's a very interesting character either, and his latter two movies were pretty bad, but you would think he's the Dragon Ball equivalent of Jar Jar Binks with the way people talk about him these days.

I guess the fact that the video games have previously had a nasty habit of over-hyping him as this near invincible character who mostly just shouted Goku's Saiyan name probably didn't help.

Between what you said about his portrayal in the games, and his fanboys overhyping him even more, it's pretty justifiable

I guess. It just seems like a lot of people are making him out to be this huge franchise-killer, as opposed to a non-canon side character with some lousy movies. I can definitely understand poking fun at him, since there's plenty to make fun of, but it seems like people are kind of exaggerating these days. He's not exactly what I would call a good villain, but there are worse movie villains.

Still, I'm pretty interested in seeing how TFS handles movie 8.
