Probably either Episode #10, Episode #11 or Episode #12. If it's Episode #11 he should have some more time. It's hard to say without know if Toma Seizou is going to return, either. I would hope so, though.Chuquita wrote:I wonder when Tate's next episode is. I hope he does get to make at least some corrections to episode 5's home release; no way could he have not felt somewhat embarrassed to have his name attached to that episode the way it ended up looking on-air.
"Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Jacob, you don't think Toei's planning is so poor that they wouldn't give Super some good animators for the following 2-3 episodes, do you?
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
World Trigger Episode #44 just had an episode with five really good freelance action animators, none of which did work on their usual level. There is certainly good staff circulating through Toei Animation right now but the lack of drawings and time to produce strong timing seems to be affecting even the best of staff.Doctor. wrote:Jacob, you don't think Toei's planning is so poor that they wouldn't give Super some good animators for the following 2-3 episodes, do you?
I'm not entirely sure what Shida Naotoshi is up to right now. We know from his Twitter account that he has recently been providing key animation for Go! Princess PreCure. Outside of storyboarding for Episode Director Mikami Masato's Dragon Ball Super Episodes #2 and #7 Shida hasn't contributed anything to Dragon Ball Super. Shida contributed the sole animation highlight of Dragon Ball Z: Kami to Kami, so I don't think he would necessarily come back for this retelling, it would simply be redundant. Hayashi Yuuki and Tate Naoki, both of whom who worked on the Dragon Ball Super Opening and Episode #2, have not been up to anything in the past few weeks, so I'm inclined to think they might be involved with one of these three upcoming episodes. If Hayashi has been working on one of these past three episodes since his quick contribution to Go! Princess PreCure Episode #23 then we could be in for something great. The problem with that is it's hard to say whether or not he would have had the time to put something together.
The staff for World Trigger is out, by the way. Ogawa Kouji is the director and storyboard artist for Episode #49, which would explain why he only did the storyboard for Dragon Ball Super Episode #8. I can't read any of the other kanji, so I'm not sure who else is working on those episodes (Episode #46 has a mistake, by the way). Hopefully the staff list for Dragon Ball Super will be out soon.

I am so used to hearing that song in conjunction with martial arts battles that it feels weird to have it placed over the interior of a casino. o_O

Well, he did a Kamehameha, so...no, it was still super weird
Maybe they just wanted to something totally unexpected, since everyone would assume the video would be closer in spirit to Dragon Ball. But it makes for a very strange juxtaposition.

Seeing everyone together like that just shows how lame things have been, character design wise. They could at least bother to give another color to Champa skin. Purple everywhere!TheDevilsCorpse wrote:![]()
Golden Freeza is no better either.
Goku and Vegeta blue forms are okay, since i assume Toriyama is following the fire pattern and blue flames are hotter.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Beerus sash thingy doesn't has its diamondsTheDevilsCorpse wrote:![]()
The art also looks repetitive since its the same at the front and back...
I like the colors :3
... Atleast that kind of confirm both Shampa and Beerus' presence during the F arc. (not that I was questioning it, but since Beerus didn't do more than eating there... hope Shampa changes that

It's not front and back, those are two versions of the cover, one of them is a special edition.Beerus-sama wrote:The art also looks repetitive since its the same at the front and back...
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
At the very least, I really like Gokû and Vegeta's outfits in F; I hope they keep those F outfits into the Uni 6 arc. They really are refreshing. I've always liked Vegeta in black (reminds me of his Freeza arc outfit) and I enjoy how fluttery Gokû's F arc dougi is. :3TheDevilsCorpse wrote:![]()

Just hafta pop in and mention "Golden" Freeza's gotta be one of my absolute favorite jokes of the franchise so far, after "Satan is our savior!". Maybe I'm just really easily amused, but it cracks me up every time.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Is this cover confirmation that Super will be re-telling the 'F' movie? The preview of the full version sounds promising, too bad the show itself just isn't.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
That was sort of already confirmed from the start (when Toriyama said they'd be doing BoG, then RF, then universe 6). But I believe this might be the first time Super has produced RF-related stuff (outside of the soldiers in the intro sequence), yes.NinjaGoku wrote:Is this cover confirmation that Super will be re-telling the 'F' movie?

Staff and titles for Episodes #10-13:
Script: Koyama Makoto; Episode Director: Shishido Jun (might be misreading?); Storyboard: Yashima Yoshitaka; Animation Supervisor: Ishikawa Osamu
Episode #11:
Script: King Ryuu; Episode Director: Iwai Takao; Storyboard: Shida Naotoshi; Animation Supervisor: Tate Naoki
Episode #12:

Episode #13:
Script: King Ryuu; Episode Director: Satou Masanori; Storyboard: Yamamuro Tadayoshi; Animation Supervisor: Kitano Yukihiro
Well, Episode #11 should be the one good episode to look forward to. It looks like Yamamuro will storyboard the first episode of the Golden Freeza arc, too. That'll probably look painful.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The title from episode 13 (Goku aiming to go beyond SSG) implies they're indeed covering the ground between the movies, instead of bringing in Freeza right off the bat.
I wonder if that means he's going after Whis right away (after a timeskip?), trying something by himself, or if just part of the episode would be about him establishing a goal.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
If they actually do go and bridge the gap between the reBOG and reF arcs, that'd be nice.
On hiatus.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I don't expect them to show us everything that happened between the 2 arcs but I definitely want to see Vegeta go Ssjg and have a little sparring match with Goku.Chuquita wrote:If they actually do go and bridge the gap between the reBOG and reF arcs, that'd be nice.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Indeed, that is promising. Probably something like, "Even as a Super Saiyan God, I couldn't beat Beerus...I'm gonna have to get even stronger than--" (Vegeta: "Hold on a damn minute, first thing's first!")Araki wrote:The title from episode 13 (Goku aiming to go beyond SSG) implies they're indeed covering the ground between the movies, instead of bringing in Freeza right off the bat.
