Power levels are important to some. I at least like to have a basic understanding of who is stronger than who. It helps with versus threads and such. Plus asking Toriyama the same questions that have plagued the franchise for years would put an end to all this senseless Pure Buu is stronger than Evil Buu or vice versa fiasco.

I think it's too late to get an answer that won't make things more confusing. I honestly doubt Toriyama would remember such a thing, to be honest. Not just because of his memory, but I also think he wouldn't personally care.

Toriyama said Mister Satan didn't have a last name. Son is the only last name in the series that's real, near as I can tell. Did the cartoons have anyone with last names?

Mr. Satan is just a stage name, and I thought his name was only Mark since Videl says something about it being odd that Gohan has a family name.

That's a dub only thing actually. Bulma's dad's name is 'Brief', so they call him 'Dr. Brief'. They just decided to take that and use it as Bulma's last name in the dub (which it does make sense, you normally don't say 'Dr. First-Name' after all).
