Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
I'm guessing Nicktoons isn't showing Kokoro No Hane because well...they can't shorten it like they did with YBCB
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Yeah, he mentioned it on Twitter.KaiserNeko wrote:Hm? What, the "MY TRUCK!!!" line?Gozar wrote:Oh...my god...That actually got left in. FUCK!!! Who is spot checking this stuff?
Why it was left in...I almost don't really anymore.
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
Yeah, sorry. I should have quoted a post. I didn't mind when a Solar Flare accidently made its way onto the DVD release. But THAT is just shameful.KaiserNeko wrote:Hm? What, the "MY TRUCK!!!" line?Gozar wrote:Oh...my god...That actually got left in. FUCK!!! Who is spot checking this stuff?

FUNi getting lazy eh? Well, just as inconsistent as their first attempt... misplaced voices and all. Let Ocean give an attempt at it
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Not nearly so lazy. The problem is they're releasing so much at such a speed, slip-ups are bound to occur occasionally. Just inform those behind the releases of the mistakes, and I have no doubt corrections will be made. It's hard to record all the audio they do in a short time, and not mix something up.Attitudefan wrote:FUNi getting lazy eh? I'm sure they're going to fix it up (hopefully). But I think this kind of stuff is bad for business, especially in reputation, which I think, is what could happen. Nobody wants to buy a broken product and not get refunded on it. In a majority of FUNi releases, they have given us (the consumer) a broken product, and then release it again without any compensation. I find this very aggravating as we aren't even given a chance after we buy the products on day 1. It's like they release beta, make us pay full price and then when version 1.0 come out they expect us to pay again to get the full service! That's blasphemy!Mewzard wrote:Not nearly so lazy. And they wonder why Dragonball merch is falling...

Well, this confirms it. Aside from Bulma's psychopathic 'waker upper', which is completely justified, Nicktoons has no problems with guns. Even (semi)modern pistols. (flipped the scene just incase, copyright)

You can only really say that as a majority of Dragon Ball releases, if you wanted. Funimation puts out quite a few high quality projects. Kai's first run seems only to be meeting some flaws due to re-recording lines at the same time, and having mix ups, and the occasional oversight that comes with trying to release episodes fast.Attitudefan wrote:I'm sure they're going to fix it up (hopefully). Even manga has slip ups now and again. Between creators, editors, and fans, by the time the manga passes through both serialization, and then release in a tankobon, it's caught. Like, in Bo-bobo, Hatenko's first use of his Fist of the Key had "ROCK ON" appear in English, and it wasn't caught until the tankobon and fixed to be "LOCK ON".
Sometimes, flubs happen. Early adopters always have the most to pay and most to risk in anything. You pay the premium of the product's highest price, then run the risk of mistakes, that you hope can be fixed. Some people had to pay $600 for their PS3 at first, and now can find one for half that price.
I remember paying $10 for edited dub only VHSes of Dragon Ball Z, with only 3 episodes (and $20 for uncut English and Japanese Subbed versions of said 3 episodes. I never got them, but I also heard of $15 for uncut dub only VHSes). Now? I can get a Dragon Box with 42 high quality, uncut dub and sub episodes with extras for $60 at MAX, with places to get it cheaper.
As fans, we're going to find ways to buy a series multiple times. I've already planned to rebuy the portion of Kai I got with Kikuchi's score anyways, so I could see the series in both forms (and since I did DVDs for the Yamamoto stuff, why not Blu Ray?).
But, with these little errors, I'll probably wait a bit for repurchase until they box set these up, and make some fixes (and put out more episodes for a cheaper price).

The guns aren't fired or pointed at anyone's head, so it should be ok for CW.Well, this confirms it. Aside from Bulma's psychopathic 'waker upper', which is completely justified, Nicktoons has no problems with guns. Even (semi)modern pistols. (flipped the scene just incase, copyright)

Hell, CW kept the gun for the Farmer with a Shotgun, just made it a laser gun though.

They didn't apply visual edits to the shotgun, only adding a laser sound when it was fired. Here, the guns aren't fired so no edits.thedarkuniter wrote:Hell, CW kept the gun for the Farmer with a Shotgun, just made it a laser gun though.

Arguably, though, the farmer's gun is more of an old fashioned pump rifle. Modern pistols might be different, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Not to mention, these are police officers. That probably has something to do with it.

Well, they didn't remove the pistol on 17's side. You can clearly see it in the scene, and it's established he's a bad guy.KaiserNeko wrote:Not to mention, these are police officers. That probably has something to do with it.

On another note, how do you think Nicktoons will handle the human absorption? You guys know what I'm talking about, the fat guy who dissolves infront of Piccolo.
Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
Oh geez, I was wondering about that too. Honestly, I've still only seen that scene once, when it originally aired over here. Creeped me out enough to skip it every time after that.
