Yeah, but for a celebration game, there's no reason for it not to just have them be 'real' again for this. I'd imagine if Yugi had been included, he would work something like Pokemon Trainer from Smash Bros. Brawl.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:How would the Yu-Gi-Oh characters work? From what I recall from my childhood (I was a fan 10 years ago), the monsters were real only in the ambient years, and on some very special occasions.
And speaking of Yugi, just found this great comic strip someone did about the 'rejected' from this game.

Ok, that was cool and hilarious, but the lack of Taikobou in this of all things REALLY hurted my feelings. T^TGyt Kaliba wrote:And speaking of Yugi, just found this great comic strip someone did about the 'rejected' from this game.![]()

Glad everyone's getting a kick out of that comic heh. It's amusing and depressing all at once.
...Hmm. I just thought of something. Thinking back to that Goku's moveset video...I don't think he has the Genki Dama in this game, that we've seen so far. I'm kind of surprised.

I'm pretty sure it appeared on one of the first trailers. The same style of the one he used on Boo ("Super Genki Dama"), complete with turning into a Super Saiyan and all...Gyt Kaliba wrote: ...Hmm. Now that I'm preparing myself to move to ps4, the good ps3 games for me, are all being released.
Is PS4 even backwards compatible with PS3?! I heard anything about a gaikai thing system, but that's it.

No. There is zero hardware compatibility with the PS4 and any of the company's prior hardware.FortuneSSJ wrote:Is PS4 even backwards compatible with PS3?! I heard anything about a gaikai thing system, but that's it.
The PS2 had the actual PS1 chip inside to act as I/O stuff I believe, which is why that had full hardware backward compatibility.
The PS3 initially shipped with full PS2 hardware backward compatibility (they included the Emotion Engine chip) and PS1 software/emulation backward compatibility. The next model stripped the PS2 backward compatibility to either all-software-only or half-and-half (forget how that went), and then starting with the 40 GB model they stripped it out entirely.
The PS3 always has and continues to keep the PS1 emulation backward compatibility. It recently had a PS2 emulator brought more-public for use with download titles, and hackers have been able to make use of it in custom firmware to run a larger variety of titles than are present for purchase in the various PSN stores, but it's not a 100% accurate product by any means. There's also a PSP emulator within the system that was primarily used for a few "Remasters" titles in Japan (like "Monster Hunter") that has also been put to use by hackers on custom firmware. As for "I own a system: what can I put in it to play?" it's just PS1 discs at this point.
The PS4, though, has none of that. Not even PS1 backward compatibility, and not even with your PSN purchases (never mind discs). That's likely going to change, and they might even roll a PS2 emulator into the mix to handle those downloads, but yeah, for now their priority seems to be on the Gakai technology they purchased to run the games via the cloud offsite streaming to you. There was big rumor-based story recently about Sony kicking out the PS1 & PS2 emulation for discs, but that hasn't gone anywhere yet.
In a nutshell, if you want to play "J-Stars" you need a PS3 and/or Vita.

Looks like five new videos just hit guys! First up is four new gameplay sets, this time for Gon, Koro-sensei, Bobobo, and Luckyman. Following that is a showcase of the 'Strongest Tag Teams'.

So is Don Patch a support character, or an actual part of Bobob's move set?
Wonder if he can transform to BoboPatch or PatchBobo?
We didn't get to see his ultimate yet either...

So, Gon's ultimate attack is a fully charged Janken-Guu.

Wouldn't that be a transformation if it was included? I thought every playable character was supposed to have one.Wobbuffet wrote:So, Gon's ultimate attack is a fully charged Janken-Guu.

Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
I got one question which I'm sure has been answered already somewhere in the previous 50 pages... it's just that looking for it over 50 pages seems a little to much....
The limited edition of the game, what does it include that's not in the normal version? It's just extra music or has something else like extra characters, or extra goodies bundled with the game?
Also, if it's extra music, I'm assuming it will have codes to download it from PSnetwork. Do I need a japanese psn account to do so?
