Thanks.

Well that pretty much settles it. Gast has no other choice but to find a way to un-fuse.

Basically, this universe has only him, Goku and Gohan left as the big powers.

Jumping to conclusions are we Mr. Super Namek?
Then again it isn't completely suprising, that he'd be skeptical about all of that recent activity on Namek.

That would mean Salagir is ignoring another Namekian ability/trait then...as they are supposed to naturally be able to detect if a ki is evil or not.

The longer this story goes on, the more I start disliking it because of how Salagir keeps trying to twist and change things to his personal preference so that he can do the story how he wants. This should in no way be advertised as a "sequel to the original manga" like when it first started, its more akin to a movie.

I dunno, while it does seem weird that he can't just sense whether they're good or evil, it also makes a lot of sense for Gast to be skeptical just with what's obviously been happening on Namek, as dbgtFO said.

Vegeta isn't going to like how this ends though.

Anybody notice that the pages of this chapter are smaller than they should be? The cover page is normal but the others are small in comparison to everything else. I think the cover of the Cell special was also strangely sized.

With the exception of Vegeta, who'd probably be asking for it, I'd be pretty annoyed if Gast killed them all unless he's being established as less than a good guy. It would just be a pointless plot point otherwise. What does it accomplish to kill them off unless you want the audience to dislike Gast?

Don't get me wrong, I kind of like the idea of introducing a character that everybody will assume is a hero and then later reveal he's actually a pretty big bastard. But using this particular character for that, given his origins? It just sounds off.

It seems like Gast can tell that they're "coming from all everywhere".

Does second attack mean that he sees them as a threat (pff lol) or is Coola and/or Cold in the house? And is the reason that he rarely speaks because his brain evolved in such a way that proper english is now below him? So many questions

The Jackal wrote:OK, if that's true with Piccolo not being able to spawn offspring because he's not of the Dragon clan, then how do you explain Cell? He's DNA was taken from Piccolo, yet Cell's able to produce offspring. How can that be?
Cell can literally produce matter from energy. I don't really think producing offspring is that farfetched with DBZ magical science.

You could even fanwank if you wanted and say his ability to give birth is actually from the humans, and his version is just super-accelerated.

The Jackal was asking because the Daizenshuu confirm that Cell got the ability to create Cell Juniors, the same technique the Namekian use to give birth, from Piccolo's cells...which isn't directly possible because Piccolo was the member of the wrong clan to use it, but its still in his genes, probably.

I have a feeling Gast is going to fight Vegeta and end up killing him. Does anyone know how long Gast's special is going to be?

When did Gero get Piccolo's cells, again? Back during the Saiyan saga?

In any case, yeah, the easiest explanation that it's some magical genetic memory of the ability to spawn.

Yeah, back during the Saiyan Saga is where most of the Cell's were collected apart from Frieza and Cold.

Also, was it even confirmed that Cell's asexual reproduction comes from Piccolo? The Namekians lay eggs in their stomach and spit them out from the mouth. Cell opened his tail and just shot them out, without them being in eggs or anything. His reproduction could've come from some kind of insect/insects (as, on that chapter title page, it said that his DNA consisted of Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Freeza, King Cold and a number of unspecified life forms, which I would assume were insects or something, judging by his appearance and him going into larval stage, moulting, his tail, etc.).

But I don't necessarily agree with that. It's just something I wanted to put out there.

I feel like I'm always repeating myself. lol Kanzentai-ho!
Birthing Cell Juniors
This is a technique where perfect-form Cell uses his own abilities to create children from out of the tail which he had earlier used to absorb life-energy life. Cell can freely control the number of children created. Each of the children then has roughly the same amount of power and speed as Cell. This special ability could be called a more developed version of the Namekian Piccolo's ability to create offspring.

Oh, sorry. I must've missed that. Anyway, that seems about right. Cell's reproduction is simply an advanced version of the Namekians' spawning ability.

I am loving the art in this special so far. The shading is great on this page too, the art is consistent, the story is looking up - yup, definitely the best special so far.

I think what I really like about the art is the inking and shading.
