So... I'm making a TeamFourStar Dragonball Abridged DVD!

I'm requesting a little help from anyone interested in this project

Basically as the Title states i'm making a DVD but i'm not just throwing a bunch of episodes on a disc, I'm making something special!

this DVD will feature all the episodes of season 1 with extras, subtitles, credits and many other interesting things

One Subtitle track will feature everything said in each episode extras included and another explaining the origin of all the referances in all of the episodes and a sing along for the "Make A Man Out Of You" video

here's where you come in

in some episodes I don't fully understand some of the referances or the origin of some of them

so my request is could you help me with this problem?

I would also like to state that i will be sharing the ISO with everyone and do not plan to sell this DVD on because it is not my work and all credit goes to TeamFourStar Akira Toriyama Toei ect

So who's interested?

Heh! A DVD of our work, huh? I suppose you won't be selling it or anything like that...

A subtitle track, eh? Very interesting. Origins for the references too? That'll be a slight undertaking...

BTW i know that the next episode is a while off but how many parts are there going to be?

I was guessing only 2 parts totaling the max of 20 mins but if theres more i'll have to cut back on the extra's

well it seems i have support so i guess i'll put everything up i'll be using

depending on the length of the final episode i may have to shave seconds where needed over the various episodes and extras

Maybe this could be a community project? I'd be willing to help compile at least part of a "reference guide". While we're talking DVDs, how many episodes to each one? I was thinking one for each season.

Sshadow, I'd recommend doing a test write before you decide to cut anything. On a DVD-RW or something. There's a program called DVDShrink which will compress larger filesizes to DVD5 with limited compression - use it all the time for fanedits.

What you should do is make the DVD into a .img/.iso/.dmg and then turn THAT into a .torrent file. That way, people can download the .torrent file, and burn the .dmg/.iso/.img onto a blank DVD.

That would be awesome.

EDIT: Whoops, missed the part where you said that you were going to share the .iso with everyone. Oh well, my advice still stands that a .torrent would be the most effective way, either that or upload it on Media Fire.

1.what exactly does the farmer say when hit by the bullet that raditz flicked at him?

2. what exactly does Farmer say when Vegeta kills him in the FAQ special?

3 what does Raditz say when dropping Gohan inside the Space pod (before "sweet merciful god" and after "why isn't screaming angrily making you cry less")

4. whats a full nelson? how is it spelled? and whats it from?

5. when piccolo expains that he's gonna throw Gohan at that mountain Gohan says "actually that looks more like a ???" what does gohan say?

Obviously this isn't official since I'm not involved, but here's what I can gather.

1. Sounds like he says either "Dammit, I voted for Bush!" or "Damn, and I voted for Bush!"

2. Sounds like "John McCain '08!" to me.

3. I believe it is "Ahh, to hell with this, you're going in the time-out pod!"

4. A Full Nelson is a type of grapple, the one Goku used on Radditz. You can read about it here.

5. Gohan was trying to say "Plateau".

Of course, this is all my take on it, hopefully Kaiser or another member of TFS will chime in to confirm or correct my post.

I would also like to help where ever I can, since this is something I've wanted to do since the series premiered; and an .avi source just makes it way better!

I could help by providing a lot of neat bonus features that I've been collecting (primarily the neat images KaiserNeko has been making and some other images/info on other DBZA things). Of course, if there's enough room left on a standard DVD... then again a 2 disc set wouldn't be that bad, if it meant getting everything in high quality.

This sounds like a great project. PM me with anything I can do to help!
