Vote for your favorite!
The winner will become an official member of "The New Adventures of Korin & Yajirobe" team. The writer of each skit will not be announced until polling is closed. This is to encourage objective judgment, as some applicants are well known fan dubbers on YouTube. Polling will close at 11:59pm Monday, July 13th, 2009.
Remember, you're voting on the best writer, not the best concept. They're all about something different, but which one handles the situation best with dialog and jokes? This contest is being held to determine who was willing to put forth the effort as well as determine who could come up with the best jokes.
Original Post wrote:Hey guys! For the past three months, I've been working on a video series called Korin & Yajirobe. It's a fan dub/parody focusing mainly on the Dragon Ball characters Korin and Yajirobe. The series has managed to gain a small following (around 2,000 subs), but I want to move in a different direction with this project.
So far, all the videos that I have are mediocre at best. I really feel like this project has potential because it's a semi-original concept and Dragon Ball parodies are all the rage these days, thanks to TeamFourStar (I love TFS with all my heart). Anyway, I've learned that, on my own, I can rarely tap into that potential. I have worked on comedy projects like this in the past and I find that I'm at my best when I have another writer to work with. By volleying the scripts back and forth I can constantly perfect my own work and my partner's work. The results are more than usually favorable.
So I'd like to refresh this project by going over the existing videos and fixing the ones that aren't complete garbage. Afterwards, I'd like move the videos to another channel and start making new ones, as a team effort rather than solo. So if you're willing to put forth the effort, I'll be more than happy to work with you. We already have an artist to do title cards and promotional images, and he's really good! He has a very unique style that fits well with what I've established with the series. This is shaping up to be a very capable team, and I have big plans for this project.
I'm looking for somebody with some experience, and if you can prove that you're a good writer, I'd be more than happy to let you in. Right now I'm really only looking for one other person because too many people can cause a lot of lag in the development process. So again, if you're looking to gain a little experience and have some fun while entertaining others, get a hold of me through the thread, PM, or e-mail.
If you have any questions feel free to ask in this thread. Thanks for your time guys! I hope to hear from some of you soon!
