Should they have started kai at the beginning of Dragon Ball

I they should have. I would have liked to see some of those scenes remastered too.

Yeah, I agree. It would have been nice, too--then they could have seamlessly transitioned from each series to the next. I really don't think they needed to separate them in the first place, really; just group them all together and call the series Dragon Ball. That's what the manga did, after all... (save for GT, of course)

I guess Kai is doing a good job at what it's trying to accomplish, though, so I can't exactly complain. You know, except for the god damned censoring. Image

Heh, all things considered, that is a perfect emote for the most recent situation.

1989. 2009. Meaning? 20th anniversary of DBZ.

I think it would've been great if they had started Dragon Ball Kai off in the beginning of Dragon Ball, and go directly into DBZ in the same series, just like in the manga. I doubt anyone would've complained.

Yeah they definitely should have. But in the eyes of the public, unfortunately, DBZ>>>>>>>>>>>DB.

It would have been perfect. Toriyama's entire story without filler... :(

I don't think they should have. Otherwise, they would have just ended up censoring a lot more stuff. It would have ruined the experience. And people would just watch the uncut version instead. I think some of you guys that said they should, forget about the censoring.

I dunno, it wouldn't have been as vastly different as DBZ Kai has been. They could have done both, but of the two the Z anime was definitely more in need of an overhaul.

I would have loved it if they had started all the way from the beginning, but as SSVegetto stated, it probably would have been censored to bits, even more so than what's happening now.

Dragon Ball doesn't have nearly the problem with fillers as DBZ does.

In fact, the filler it does have is quite pleasant (though I do actually like soe of the filler in DBZ, too). I mean, Goku training with Mr. Popo!
