Awesome Amazon.co.jp DB products!

Post by Alias » Sat Jan 22, 2005 3:57 pm

N'cha!

It's been a long time... Well, it's not for lack of desire that I haven't posted until now. I got the marvelous luck of becoming completely disabled last summer and have been unable to do much of anything, causing me to miss last college semester. Apparently, I'll be disabled for the rest of my life. Oh joy.

Anyway, that's not the subject of this post. I was browsing Amazon.com (Japanese) and found some great new DB stuff. Read on!

Ah! I love that first poster so much!
I saw it way back in smaller form in one of the kanzenban I have.
I like the other two posters too, though the group ones are my favorites.
Heh, I wonder what Veggie did to get Piccolo so upset?

These are jigsaw puzzles. Although I imagine you could make them posters once you put them together... :?

I can't believe they're still using that same retro text for "Dragon Ball".

Oops.

I didn't bother reading the text... (1000 piece Dragonball Z Go-Go-Paradise) This is really embarassing for someone who's just started Japanese 3rd course.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened? (Sorry, curiosity and bordem have kicked in.)

On another note. I want all of those! I need DBZ figures.... why? Umm... because I need DBZ figures. I don't know, I just want to collect them (despite me having 0 figures, not even the crappy prize kind from BK and McDonalds...). And I wouldn't mind the puzzles either. Put them together, frame them, hang them on the wall. ^^

That Buu toy.. is way too cute. *_*

Does anyone know how to set up an Amazon.co.jp account? I tried to use my Amazon.com info and it wouldn't let me.. which.. means I guess I can't use my gift certificates in co.jp. Suck.

Well, setting up an Amazon.co.jp account basically goes the same as setting up an Amazon.com account, so uh... Yeah. If you can't read Japanese and thus can't figure it out, maybe you should pull up the Amazon.com registration screen as a reference, and perhaps use BabelFish to help guide you through. Once you're done setting up the basics, I believe you can view the screen in English, too.

It's quite easy, really.

You're going to have to pay a crapload for shipping, though, since this will be going overseas. Better make sure you have some extra cash, because you may be paying more than the actual item itself. :!:

Xyex - Eh, it's rather personal, so I'd rather not say. It's something that most people don't understand and tend to think less of you upon finding out (I learned that the hard way).

Concerning figures... Do you have any comic book or Japanese stores nearby? You can usually find (horribly overpriced) DB stuff at them. I recently bought a super-cute set of Chibi Z Warriors at a Japanese import place.

I can read Japanese pretty well. ^_^; I just was hoping I wouldn't have to make a new account. But I guess you're confirming that I need a second account and there's no way to set up my information from my existing Amazon.com account..
..That would suck for anyone that moved from the U.S. to Japan or something. =/

You realize you can sign up in English, right? (Just look for a link on the main page that has "in English" in big letters, then you can proceed as normal.) 8)

Unfortunately, Amazon.co.jp never ships games outside of Japan. The US Amazon.com is the same way (though I don't remember if it's limited to just the US, or North America). :?

My concern isn't reading it. :P That wasn't my problem at all; my Japanese is fine. And actually, the registration page itself doesn't seem to show up in English. But it doesn't matter, because I already signed up fine with the Japanese page.
I just wish Amazon would have some universal account option, and no one's telling me there is so I guess there isn't. I'd like to order stuff from the Japanese site using my gift certificates from my American account (despite the address being in Canada currently). o_o

It's just the U.S. ~_~ It's lame. I'm glad I'm gonna be making an extended visit in California soon; I can make my video game purchases and have them shipped there. But it sucks for when we're in Canada. =/
