Neko Majin Z 3 *spoiler*

Post by omae no kaasan » Fri Feb 06, 2004 6:18 am

Today Neko Majin 3 was released. First and foremost you may wish to know that this time, Vegita has appeared in the comic.

While still playing games with Neko Majin and the boy, Vegita comes to the planet at the request of Freeza to save his son (shock) Kuriiza. Of course this becomes a problem when Vegita finds of the trouble that the two have been caught in playing stupid tournament games for 5 months (this coincides with the last release of the Neko Majin installment). Vegita challenges Neko Majin to a fight on the conditions that if he should lose, he will purchase the cat demon 1,000 Deluxe Takoyaki balls. Their fight begins and is carried out in typical Dragon Ball fashion with Vegita power-up to Super Saiyan, but then Neko Majin does as well. Just then.....

Vegita gets a call on his cellphone *GAN* He is chided by his supporters for carrying it with him but he rebutts that at least it was on manner mode (vibrate). He announces that something has come up quickly and must leave the planet immediatley, which he does. But as he leaves, Kuriiza questions whether the connection can actually reach that far into the solar system. The Saiyan knows for sure...it was totally out of range.

So as Vegita runs off sulking into space he swears that he`ll never show up a second time in a gag manga.

The End.

That's it... we're including Neko Majin characters in the "Character Guide" :P.

Err... are you sure that's a good idea? :?

I mean, if we do that, we might as well do character profiles for everybody in Dr. Slump, too. That series actually takes place in the Dragon World, y'know. Neko Majin is really supposed to be a joke, although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a section on it, since it's a self-inflicted parody by the author. :)

I see absolutely no harm with including characters like Onio in the guide; they're all going to be marked as canon, filler, movie, etc. anyway... might as well include these guys. It's a parody of the Dragon World, but it's still kinda the Dragon World!

I think characters that interact or know about the Dragonball chars would be cool to have in the guide.

Vegeta's the only actual DB character that has appeared in Neko Majin Z to date; keep in mind that it's only 3 chapters long. The others are more-or-less parodies of characters (Neko Majin Z = Goku, Onio = Vegeta, Kuriza = Freeza). It's pretty amusing, though... if you want to read the first two chapters, you can find them over on Toriyama's World.

Remember, Kuriiza has been roped in as well since he is Freeza's son apparently now

I don't think Onio's based off of Vegeta, since there's no real similiarities besides them both being Saiya-jins . And now that Vegeta has made an appearance in the gag manga, we can be pretty sure the Onio is his own character.

Hmm...

Kuririn+Furiza=Kuriiza

He's the love child of Kuririn and Freeza!

Oh, and Toriyama's World should get that issue soon. AK gets the monthly Jump books soon after they come out in Japan. He'll probably have it up on the site within a few weeks. Don't ask how I know that...

How do you know that? :D

As for being based on Vegeta, just the fact that he's a Super Saiyan and obsessed with being #1 are what the similarities are. Onio is just a parody of Vegeta, not a serious remake.

Edit:
Kuririn + Furiiza = Kuriiza?
...We never did find out what Furiiza's gender was in the manga did we?

kuri = chestnut
Kuriza's head = a chestnut

Toriyama just doesn't understand that he had A SERIES OF PUNS BEING COLD going on with Freeza's race.

Then again, he doesn't remember anything at all.

Not necessarily, EX. The song says "Chestnuts roasting by an open FIRE", indicating said chestnuts are COLD prior to said roasting. So once you think about, this is just a thinking-ppl's pun.

Toriyama remains the God of puns! All praise the Lord of Manga! :P

God of puns I will agree with. I have yet to see anything match Slump`s humor...except maybe Bo-bobo but that`s an entirely different kind of humor.

However, in my humble opinion, Oda is now The Lord of the Manga. Toriyama will always be his inspiration and for that it is almost unfair to move him a notch down, but Oda has taken the genre so far and done so much with it, that he`s almost recreated it.

Now if he would just stop relying on Luffy so much and let someone else COUGH ZORO COUGH take out a major villain for once, I would be really REALLY happy.

Unfortunately none of them will ever reach Tezuka-status only because I don`t think anyone will ever again create such a ENORMOUS variety of manga dealing with entirely different topics and themes, while making each a masterpiece.

I know I already said this in another post, but I really do love Oda's style of drawing. So totally out there and unique, just like Toriyama's. It actually reminds me of a lot of the designs of the British comics, such "The Beano" that I grew up on. Maybe that's why I like it. And I really wish North America would translate and bring over more of Tezuka's manga, especially his "Phoenix" stories. I know he never finished it but it's a masterpiece anyway! And maybe, just maybe BlackJack. Please? :(

Proof that Kuriiza is the love child of Kuririn and Freeza:

1. Kuririn's name is a pun on chestnut, so this part of the theory still applies. Kuriiza's name is a combination of his father's and... mother's names. Him looking like a chestnut is just a coincidence.

2. Kuriiza has almost no nose. He just has two little nostrils. This is where we can see the mixture of Kuririn and Freeza's genes. Freeza had a nose, thus the nostrils. Kuririn didn't, thus the stunted growth.

3. Kuriiza is very small, even smaller than Freeza was. This is where Kuririn's genes come into play again, also stunting the poor little guy's body.

4. If you look closely, Kuriiza's head is shaped almost exactly like Kuririn's (excluding the pointy top and ears). His face is fairly flat; like Kuririn's and unlike Freeza's.

5. Sure, Freeza may seem male, but he's still an alien. For all we know, he race might be a combination of male and female, it might be able to morph between various genders, or it might be some other weird possibility.

6. Desperation. Let's face it, Kuririn was desperate for romantic involvement before #18. As for Freeza... maybe he wasn't very picky.

7. It's funnier this way. ^_^

Etc, etc, etc...

I'm too tired to think up any more. G'night...

Aww, man... I made the mistake of re-reading Neko Majin Z 2. I'll be psycho in 3 days, tops if I don't get to see NMZ3.

Edit: I really hate not being able to make posts right after having just posted, I'm always correcting my grammar mistakes 3 seconds after posting, instead of previewing...
