Abbreviating URLs

Post by Shiyonasan » Wed Nov 24, 2010 9:49 pm

How do you abbreviate URLs on this forum? I was about to post in the wallpaper thread in the Fan Works section of the board until I noticed other posters abbreviating them. Here is an example:
EDIT: The link doesn't work in the quote in this post, but it works in the wallpaper thread.

It seems to do it automatically. Try just posting the complete address.

Example: http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy51 ... 00x800.jpg

It's not working for me. That's strange....

It's not working for my jpg images either. Perhaps I'm copying the URL from the wrong place?

Wait, are you putting url tags around your links? Try just posting the address without that.

Ah, there we go! I didn't know you could post a URL without the URL tag. And I've been on this forum how long...?

Anyway, thanks Bussani!
