Budokai Tenkaichi 3 the best Dragon Ball video game?

Well, for me, Tenkaichi 3 is the only Dragon Ball video game I will ever need, so far.

I plan on buying another ps2 soon, and of course this game ( Over the years, I've gone threw a few ps2 fazes, and have pawned/sold them off here and there, but those days are gone, I am a serious collector now. Plus I have a job, which equals steady money. )

Me and my friends loved Budokai 3, and the behind the character style of the Tenkaichi series threw us off, at first. Though, after playing, we quickly got addicted to the added realism of the environments and the attacks. Tenkaichi 3 is the greatest Dragon Ball video game I have ever played.

I've heard from people who know what they're talking about that Infinite World is the most difficult Dragon Ball game of it's kind, in part because a lot of what it did was for the competitive players who could actually handle it.

Again, it's an opinionated issue. Personally, I don't like Z or GT as a 2D fighter and Dimps models are horrible. The cel shaded textures were nice, but even Meteor had that going for it (sad it dropped out for the RB series though). There really wasn't anything that the Sparking! series didn't do better IMO.

you cant really compare theme cuse they are diffrent types of fighters

b3 is a 2d fighter and bt3 is a 3d fighter

each one dose what it is trying do do really well

BT3 is hardly the 'best evar!' depends on what you mean, best engine? art style? or just overall game?
For me the classic Hyper Dimension is a pretty solid engine on of those hop in and play have everything from the get go... not the best game but in terms of gameplay it's pretty solid.
Notable mentions: Super DBZ and Ultimate Butouden. God I hope it gets a US release.

They're both great. I loved budokai cause it was one of the first dragonball games I've played. The story and cut scenes were flawless. Budokai 2 followed up with a great story mode and unique game board play. And Budokai 3 was just ace on the fighting moves. The budokai tenkaichi series was really fresh and original. It actually felt like the anime fights when you fought. If I had to pick I would probably pick BT3. So many characters from dragonball to gt to movies. I could spend hours just picking random characters fight against each other just so I could hear what they would say to each other. It's such a shame that both series died (in gameplay) as soon as the new consoles came out. Burst Limit was in the right direction.. If only they would make a sequel to that and fix all it's problems.

That's really all you can say. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses but ultimately those three games are the best DBZ has to offer. Now if only someone could just find away to blend all the best elements together...

Dimps models are horrible.

Have to stop you right there. First off, Spike's models are very blocky, and Dimps has much better character animations. The essence of movement is much better in Dimps games. Budokai 3/Infinite World Specials are much more believable, because they capture movement and reactions and expressions MUCH better. Raging Blast did better from the Sparking games as far as expressions and models, but compared to Dimps games, still lack a lot.
