I don't really see any need to constantly update a fan comic with new material introduced in the official works. As Toei and Toriyama continue to add to the Dragon Ball mythos in the coming years, they'll inevitably render most fan stories incompatible. I'd say the best thing for a fan artist to do is not worry about staying within the evolving continuity and just continue doing their own thing. Fan works will never be part of the official series, so its fair that not all elements of the official series need to be part of a fan work.

My current revisions are now more along the lines of upgrading my story and art quality rather than implementing elements from the new material. Its common knowledge amongst my fans that DBNA is an alternate timeline and not the prime timeline, so I pretty much have free reign to do as I please so long as I stay within certain parameters.
As far as everyone else's questions as to whether I'm including Super in DBNA, its the same situation as with Resurrection F. Since I'm no longer modifying the story, only elements that can be seamlessly integrated into the story will become part of the story's canon. Things like Freeza's status as a prodigy, Whis' ability to reverse time for 3 minutes, and Son Goku being a radish farmer can be included, but things like SSJGSSJ, Freeza's revival, and other things are not.
