Hey, anyone else having trouble logging into the chatroom right now? It keeps telling me it isnt able to resolve the IRC Server XD

I'm not having any problems. Mind you that's only because I've never tried to use the chatroom...

Is it still all "I have ops~~!! s0 u sUx0rs and I R0x0rs LOLOLOLOL~~~!!! *BAN!* *Change Title!* "I make you l33t by giving you ops too!"" ?
If so, I hope you and nobody else can ever re-enter it.

Seems like it's been broken almost constantly since Thursday night. My computer has sat here trying to reconnect the entire time. They must be having a serious problem.

Yeah, it didn't seem fixed for me after you posted that, Rach. Maybe it was just a short time thing? I rarely go onto that chatroom anyway, So I don't know why I tried.

It's been working off-and-on, but the server has been down more than up. *looks in window* According to my timestamps, it died again an hour after I posted that, and has been down ever since.

I never turn my computer off, and I do hang out on another IRC server too, so it's easy for me to let it sit there trying to reconnect to mircx. I'll wait to say anything else about it until it's been up for more than 24 hours, though.

Supposedly, it's pretty gone for good. They keep getting nailed with DOS attacks over and over whenever it goes back up.

We'll probably move over to whatever server all the fansub groups use, simply because it's nice and convenient...

You could always move to Espernet. That would make it convenient for me, anyway.

I wonder what kind of jerkasses would want to bomb an IRC server, of all things. It seems pretty pointless.

Don't most fansub groups use mircx, though? I also see enterthegame quite a bit, and that's TW's as well.

Just use whatever all the fansubbing groups on mircx switch to.

I actually have an irc.esper.net register user like I had for mircx (Mega Man Network uses that server), so that'd work very easily for me but whatever goes works for me. Still whoevers attacking mircx needs help.

Aniverse has a tendency to get hit by DDoS attacks as well, though. Well, I haven't been on there much lately, so I don't know if it's gotten better (although I hear it suffered an onslaught that coincided with the one on MIRC-X, so maybe it's as bad as it ever was). The only fansub chan I visit (which hardly deserves to be called a fansub chan anymore, since they haven't released anything in months) moved to Rizon, which seems like a pretty decent network based on the day or so that I've been on it.

We shouldnt relocate to where all the fansub groups are, that's where all the crashes happen
