Kuririn's finally gettin' some.

HA! I consider this canon now. You cannot convince me that that didn't actually happen. I refuse.
I miss the pat pat test.

As much as I want to object against it like a purist, I'll just say Goku did it because Videl's lack of a chest.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

SS5 guy was way more deserving of a toss out the window.

HA!
This is the first time I've laughed so hard at anything '9000' in a while.
I respectfully disagree. While I don't know how I'd feel about them adding in yet another SS transformation (especially since jumping to 5...GT...I...wait, where does this go...I...wat... ), but I think I'd take that over yet another Spirit Bomb victory movie.Saiga wrote:SS5 guy was way more deserving of a toss out the window.

It's not that overused. 4 movies used, it sure, but it makes sense in the Saiyan Arc because it was Goku's best move at the time, and it actually showed the damn thing being useful. Movie 7 also had it used differently than normal which was interesting.Gyt Kaliba wrote:

Much better than SS5, especially given the reasons you mentioned.

Re: Interesting or funny pictures thread
Four may not be that many, and it was different in 7, but it just gets to me given that it's used as the ending winning move in each of those when...it never worked that well in-series. The move to me is more of a bust than anything else. It's powerful, but it never seems to get the job done like it's supposed to. It fails on Vegeta. It fails BAD on Freeza. And really, it doesn't work on Boo either in a way - it still needed that extra push from Goku firing on it with his power restored.Saiga wrote: It's not that overused. 4 movies used, it sure, but it makes sense in the Saiyan Arc because it was Goku's best move at the time, and it actually showed the damn thing being useful. That and, since this story takes place after Boo, and is canon to the series basically, I don't want to see a repeat victory is all.
With the reasons I gave, yeah...even I'll admit that, just for fitting, a Genki Dama fits better. I just don't want it to be that is all.Much better than SS5, especially given the reasons you mentioned.

Re: Interesting or funny pictures thread
Making the Genki Dama not terrible is a good thing, though. For me, anyway, I didn't like how it was hyped up and then just failed twice in a row only to be forgotten until the finale.

Guess we just have differing opinions on that one then, heh. They're both entirely valid IMO though.
